1 out of 5 eggssad sad sad

Pros: It worked great at first.... high transfers as it was my first USB 3.0 flash drive. Going from Usb 2.0 to 3.0 was woooo!

Cons: It doesnt last under normal wear and tear. I only used my stick to go back and forth between my laptop and my PS3 and having read other reviews I should have been weary to begin with but shrugged it off. However, they were right on this one, the drive only works now occasionally, and even then it could be working fine one second and be disconnected on the next. Deeply saddened by this product, having used Corsair in the past for other items, I was drawn mostly to the name. Should know better by now, I have definitely learned to take heed of others reviews now before deciding on a product.

5 out of 5 eggsHardcore protection for your flash drive

Pros: Measuring in at 4 inches (10 cm); it’s no thumbnail USB drive. That doesn’t mean it’s not good though because at that size I can easily feel around for it in my backpack to find it. If you plan on using this on your motherboard ports you don’t have to worry. It will work with another USB plugged into the port next to it. It’s a tight fit, but it will work. That’s important because to take advantage of its USB 3.0 speeds, your only option may be the back ports. Still though, the only reason it’s a tight fit is because it’s wrapped in a thick protective rubberized coating.
This coating is really only water resistant but that rubber looks like it puts some serious protection on your USB drive. It also looks like it can handle your “USB Drive in the same pocket full of janitor-grade-wad-of-keys” can throw at it.
Corsair Gives this drive a 5 year warranty and it has a 40G shock rating so you’re pretty well covered on the basic use of it without worrying it will get destroyed

My File Transfer Test
In the end, real world performance means more to the everyday user than IOPS and MB/S does. Just like in the real world my computer is tested while using a full Antivirus Suite with “real time scanning.” This affects benchmark scores because it’s scanning files as they are written and read. This in turn slows down the process of transferring files as well as decrease drive performance (IOPS, MB/s, etc.).
My transfer test is intended to show real world performance using time as our universal measurement. This test consists of transferring a folder containing a variety of files using an SSD as the source disk and the Flash Drive as the destination and vice versa. I record the amount of seconds the transfer takes to complete and repeat the test 5 times; I then use the average of the five as a final resultant.
My test folder contains the following data:
19 Word documents (517 KB total)
7 Fraps AVI movies (2.34 GB)
1 Full Length M4V Movie (1.84 GB)

Other Thoughts: 25 Music files (232 MB)
2 Large Podcasts (165 MB)
10 Canon Raw Picture files (241 MB)
10 JPG images (51.1 MB)
Grand total Transfer size: 4.83 GBs (74 files, 10 folders)

PART 1: Transferring files from the USB stick to the Windows Desktop (hard drive):
Average: 52.48 seconds to copy 4.83 GB of files from USB drive to the desktop.
PART 2: Transferring files from the Desktop to the USB Drive:
Average: 149.3 seconds (2min 29.3sec) to transfer files from the Desktop to USB drive.
Putting that in prospective
Remember, Corsair’s drive still has 25.1 GB of space remaining, but let’s say you burn these files to a DVD and try the same test. Firstly, you couldn’t fit all of those files (4.83 GB) without deleting one 570 MB movie file you could. Using a 22x DVD burner to put the files on a DVD would take you 338 seconds (5min 38sec) or almost 6.5 times as long as it would with the Voyager GT. Also, to copy them to your desktop it would take you 296 seconds (4 min 56 sec) or almost tw

1 out of 5 eggsLess than 3.0 months till it quit...

Pros: Can't think of any not trumped by the cons right now.

Cons: I used the drive a lot, had it on my keychain the whole time it still functioned. Got less than 3 months out of it though, just lost all my xbox360 saved games when it failed too. First, the thumbdrive wouldn't read on a specific console and refused to see it to save games to it while it was being used. The rest of the day, it appeared to be working fine on another console. A day later, it doesn't work on anything, and shows up as an unformatted bricked storage device when I plug it into a computer. I have a hard time believing these passed any kind of realistic testing before production.

Other Thoughts: A free replacement from the company? How about an upgrade to a product that passed testing, for a start. I would have no use for another 3 month flashdrive product. I've had flashdrives in the past go through the washingmachine, more than once, and are still working just fine many years later. And this faulty drive is labeled the "travel" model? The Corsair name is taking a big hit on this one...

1 out of 5 eggsThree strikes so far

Pros: 32 GB is a decent size, and it's ruggedly built

Cons: Two failed drives, both died in a month, third drive is slow.

Other Thoughts: This drive worked fine for one month, after which it would not be recognized by five different computers (Windows and Ubuntu). Corsair's RMA process was smooth and prompt. However, the replacement drive also failed after one month, again not recognized by several machines. The blue LED flashed continuously, but that's all that happened. Corsair again RMA'd without a hitch. The third drive arrived today and is working, but the write speed for a 12 GB folder averaged 15 MB/sec. This is absurdly slow, so I'll have to send this piece of sh-tuff back like the first two drives. I've never had any trouble with Corsair's RAM or power supplies, but this model flash drive should be taken off the market. I now have to pay for return shipping a third time. I'll keep sending them back, hoping I may get a working drive, but meanwhile I'll have to buy another (different brand) drive so that I have one I can actually use.

1 out of 5 eggsworst drive I have ever used

Pros: Capacity is nice. Design is pretty durable. USB 3.0. RMA process painless.

Cons: I have had this drive for about 2 months and well I wish I could say that its great but its not. I have had 3 or 4 different drives all from corsair and everyone has done the same problem. I plug it in and it just blinks forever and never seems to mount as a drive. I have tried different computers and all do the same.

Other Thoughts: Every USB drive I have RMA'd to corsair they have replaced with no questions asked. But I am not going to do it again. Thankfully I didn't have anything on the flash drive that was important due to the fact that I am scared that it will not function and I can't get data off the drive. If I can't trust the drive then its pointless in having them. I am looking for a new brand and will never use the corsair flash drives again... maybe even the company in general.

I highly recommend that you find a different brand and not go with corsair at all.
