5 out of 5 eggsUpgrade OEM 8gb DELL to 32gb

Pros: Basic memory upgrade, for non-overclocked systems, reasonable price, batch-build quality, Corsair quality and customer service

Cons: No Cons.

Other Thoughts: Purchased to upgrade 8GB Dell XPS 8500s (a pair of them) to 32GB. Since these PCs can not be overclocked, I didn't see a reason to pay extra for 1866 speed. These have nice XMS head spreaders, not too high, but efficient.

5 out of 5 eggsBig bang for the buck

Pros: Great amount of memory for the price! The memory and heat sink weight is a lot higher quality feeling than I thought I might get for so much memory!

Cons: None whatsoever

Other Thoughts: You do have to do a bios tweak depending on the system since it all depends on the Northbridge speed and processor

5 out of 5 eggsGood memory

Pros: nothing special, but it does exactly what it says; which is a plus in the complications of building a new computer

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: I run two game servers at once on my primary desktop and still play games and have RAM to spare. This RAM plugged in and worked with zero issues. Corsair makes solid products, most of my computer is stuff made by them for a reason.

Runs cool, albeit not quite as fast (clocks/benchmarks) as my 2x4GB modules I had in it before. Overclocking could easily fix that, but I haven't had a need to overclock as of yet.

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's hard to imagine burning through 32 GB of RAM, but it's also amazing to see a system with 4-5 large VMs running at once, and not even breaking a sweat (or swapping anything out to disk). Works great after a few initial scares.

Cons: XMP isn't enabled by default on my board, so that had to be enabled manually. Memtest86+ 4.2 returned lots of errors on test #7, but the system was really stable otherwise. I ran 10 simultaneous kernel compilations trying to get it to break, and solid. Running mprime in stress test mode for a few hours straight, and not a blip. And memtest86+ 5.0b1 says all is well too. But it's hard to explain, other than maybe all the components being so new.

2 out of 5 eggsGood RZM other than the fzct it is not clocked as advertised

Pros: The RAM works is fast enough, but runs at 1333 instead of 1600 as advertised

Cons: The RAM is eithyer defective or I somehow got the wrong RAM. The RAM I have is clocked at 1333, when I tried to force the computer to run it at 1600 the machine would not even boot to BIOS until I reset the BIOS.

Other Thoughts: I noticed someone else said they had defective RAM, the problem I have is I need the machine to work, and cannot wait for the time it takes to ship the RAM back to NewEgg and get replacements.

2 out of 5 eggsGood Memory

Pros: It’s 32 GB of RAM; that’s a big pro in itself.

Everything happens faster, I can edit video with ease and the system is never sluggish from running too many apps at once.

Cons: Quality control issues.

This is my first Corsair product. The first set of modules that arrived had issues and would only run at 1333. I RMA’d that set to Corsair for replacements and the new batch fired up at 1600 (after a bios tweak) without a hitch. Glitches happen but this is a first for me to have to return defective memory. I hope it doesn’t turn out to be a bad omen for my dealings with Corsair products but time will tell.

Start to finish on the RMA took 3 weeks and that's not cool. If Corsair had better quality control, this would have been right the first time. System downtime and their quality issues cost this product 3 eggs on my rating.

Other Thoughts: So far so good, the replacement set works just like it says on the box.

5 out of 5 eggs32 GB OH MY!

Pros: 32 GB of RAM for such a low price. I put them all in my new build and they all worked perfectly on the first boot. Having this much memory is insane. Best of all is these sticks don't look silly with crazy ugly heat spreaders on them and such.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsMega stable

Pros: Bought this RAM for a new build (i7 3770K, Z77 chipset) and it has been rock solid running at XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) 1.3, which bumps the RAM speed up from 1333MHz to 1600MHz and is officially supported by Intel's Ivy Bridge CPUs. Sandy Bridge only supported 1333Mhz. This 1.5v Corsair RAM is also on Intel's compatible memory list for the Z77 chipset. I originally purchased Patriot G2 X79 32GB 1600MHz 1.65v memory without any research (my fault) and had lots of BSOD problems so I have a new respect for tested and approved hardware. The Win 7 WEI (Windows Experience Index) rates the CPU 7.7 and Memory 7.8.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Please note you have to be running Windows 7 64-bit Professional or higher to support 32GB (up to 192GB). 32-bit versions only support ~4GB, Home Basic 64-bit supports only 8GB, Home Premium 64-bit, 16GB. 32GB may seem like overkill, but is useful when doing a lot of heavy duty HD video editing. With RAM so cheap nowadays, I figured, what the hay. I don't overclock so I can't comment on how good this RAM is for that.
