5 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: Works flawlessly at rated settings in Biostar A85 motherboard with XMP enabled. 1.5v, standard DDR3. Very fast 1866Mhz CL9.

Cons: VERY tall. Might interfere with some heatsinks or tight cases.

Other Thoughts: Got it on sale. Great price! Attractive packaging. Thanks Newegg!

3 out of 5 eggsGood but not what I expected

Pros: Fast
Cheap
Cool

Cons: Well It might be my mother board or my whole setup or my lack of knowledge pertaining to overclocking but when i put them in they were only 1333 and i was able to raise them to 1400 something by changing the power settings in my bios but they didn't come 1866 for me.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING!

Pros: Amazed with how well this cools my XFX HD 6870 2GB! On triple monitors, stock cooler would idle at around 60°C with a 50% fan speed, and max out at 82°C with a 80-90% fan speed. Loudest fan in my case at all times, even at the 20% minimum. This is what primarily drove me to purchase the Mono Plus - fan noise was starting to induce hulk-like rages after draining a year's worth of my patience.

After installing it, felt the need to stick my finger in the fan to make sure it was spinning! Now one of the quietest fans (regardless of the speed), and performs really solid. With the Mono Plus, card now idles at 48°C with a 50% fan speed. After a few hours of Crysis 2 (100% GPU load using 1.8GBs of RAM), MSI Afterburner registered a 64°C max temp with a 65% fan speed.

Happy to report that this cooler is now safely suppressing my inner green monster. Oh, and it keeps my card cool and quiet too.

Cons: Took a look at the install instructions online prior to receiving the cooler, instructions could use more polishing. Watched a German reviewer's You**be video installing it on a GTX670 instead, install is a lot easier than it looks.

Thanks to how well it dissipates heat, noticed an increase in my overall case temps. But the exchange of warmer case temps for a MUCH cooler and quieter GPU was a no-brainer. Skipped installing the included heatsinks, thanks to the infamously inconvenient mixture & cure process. Need to purchase thermal tape, expecting to see additional drop in overall temps.

Cooler takes up about 2.5 mobo slots, which may interfere with Crossfire depending on the placement of your PCI-E slots. But with all of the CF/micro-stuttering issues, rather hold out for the HD8xxx series.

Other Thoughts: The XFX HD 6870 2GB (XFX-687X-CNFC) board uses a 2-pin adapter, and is not compatible with the included 3-pin or 4-pin adapter. Ended up swapping the stock cooler's 2-pin clip with the Mono's 3-pin adapter. No splicing necessary, just needed to carefully remove the white plastic clip head on the adapters and route the red (voltage) and black (ground) wires correctly. The yellow wire isn't required, as it only reports RPM.

This mod should help those concerned with compatibility, as I prefer to have the card manage the fan speeds vs. my mobo or direct power from PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsStop hatin

Pros: 16gb kit.
Reliable (see con)
Great for the price
Good customer service

Cons: First kit was defective after 30 days (personally I started glitchy day 7)

Other Thoughts: Well lets be honest here. Tons of people on here are barking on how this set goes defunct more than not. The best part is that corsair does stand by thier product and i got mine replaced very fast. My new set is running fast and lean. No problems yet so pick up this ram and know it has a good name backing it if some does go wrong.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid if you want good memory

Pros: 16gb kit

Cons: Both sticks bad in memtest86 4.20 with dozens of errors. Do not waste your time. I hope they let me go with another comparable product when I RMA these.

Other Thoughts: No overclock, default timings and voltages. These sully the good name of Corsair. If you are reading this Corsair, you should source your RAM somewhere else so they stop ruining your brand reputation. Or at least do some freaking error checking/QC before they go out to people with your name on them.

5 out of 5 eggsFast memory

Pros: This is rated at 1866, but my MOBO's CMOS ASUS Sabertooth 990 FX2.0) defaults to 1600. A bit of tweaking and I can probably get it to recognize the full-rated speed. Although it would be hard to notice the difference.

Cons: A bit pricey relative to over Corsair configurations.

Other Thoughts: The heat sink/dispersion thingamajig attached to the top of the stick is more marketing showmanship than any kind of real functionality. I am sure it would work just fine without it.
When I did my first build with the new Sabertooth 2.0 I was getting the "blue screen of death". My first inclination was to blame the memory. Don't. Just go to the ASUS site and download the latest bios (1503). That fixed it for me.

1 out of 5 eggsBlech Stay Away

Pros: Well they look good, system recognized them.

Cons: Bought the two stick bundle for 16g's. Lasted about 5 months before one stick died. Working on last stick now hope it holds out.

I have never had memory die on me and I have built 3 systems and had multiple computers, many for over 5 years.

Other Thoughts: Seems like a bad choice, and of course they die after the return period is over but years before what is expected of ram.
