5 out of 5 eggsPleased So Far

Pros: Title says it all. Trusted Corsair quality. Put two of these in my new build for 16 GB total, aluminum heat spreaders look friggin' classy in this rig I threw together. Perfect match to the rest of the system, aesthetically speaking.

I pulled these out of the packaging and held them in my hands, I recall feeling the most solidly built RAM modules I've ever seen. They've actually got some weight to them. White LEDs in the top of the heat spreader give a very nice ambient glow within the system. I've got them right next to a Corsair H100i water block with a white-lit logo. Very subtle, very nice.

Cons: Not the fastest PC3 12800 RAM out there. Not really a con for me, they'll perform as well as I need them to, but could be if you're concerned with this.

Price - If these don't fit your aesthetics or you really don't care about aesthetics, look elsewhere for equal or tighter performing PC3 12800 RAM from some of the other top manufacturers, you'll pay half the price (or less) for the same capacity.

Other Thoughts: On the other hand, this is Corsair's notoriously high-quality RAM, so you could probably overclock the bajeezus out of them.

Thinking about getting the alternate light bar kit Corsair offers. Haven't decided yet.

I've never really bought Corsair's products until this build. Very pleased with my experience so far.

5 out of 5 eggsCool looking memory!

Pros: Have 2 kits of these which makes it 16GB. Very fast and scored 7.9 on WEI (I know its not a good benchmark). Light on the bar is not as bright as I thought it would be but I ended up liking it that way better. Haven't tried overclocking but I feel there is no need for it now.

Cons: A bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. I am sure there are other memory modules out there with the same capacity and speed but with lower prices.

Other Thoughts: My build:
- Intel 3570 @stock
- 16GB (4x4GB) Corsair Dominator Platinum 1600Mhz CL9
- XFX 7850 Core Edition 2GB
- Gigabyte z77x-UD3H
- Seasonic x-560 Modular Power supply
- Intel SSD 330 120GB
- WD Caviar Blue 500GB
- Corsair 400R case
