5 out of 5 eggsFast RAM, and looks good while doing its thing.

Pros: Runs nice. No issues here.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this identical RAM from a well known online auction site; 2 of the single 8GB sticks with this model number. I have not overclocked so I don’t know how it holds up to that test, but I will state this; the SPD shows this RAM’s default JEDEC speed for some reason as 1333, not 1600 as advertised. To get 1600, you have to use XMP which is only available to Intel users (I’m using an i7). AMD Users will have to manually overclock these which is sad since this makes Corsair look like false advertisement on this product since this is not stated anywhere. If you want to feel safer about it, just spend the extra cash and get the dual channel kit of this RAM, as I have not heard the same thing with the dual channel kit but I could be wrong.

5 out of 5 eggsThe person who asked about the color of the PCB

Pros: - Can't see the green PCB when seated all the way

- OC'd a tad to 1866MHz using timings of 11-10-11-28 fine on a GA990FXA-UD3 (rev. 3.0) and its running fine and stable

-aesthetically pleasing to look at from inside case window and matches great with motherboard

Cons: -memory benchmarks on this module are a tad bit lower than a few others in its price range but those are just synthetic scores and RAM is all fast so it doesn't matter much

Other Thoughts: bought this 1 stick to save up for another 8GB stick and get 16GB and leave extra room for any possible future upgrades

5 out of 5 eggsGreat ram!

Pros: Like always its corsair so its rock solid stable and reliable.
Runs at 1600 mhz (beware though amd processor users. Intel has the copy right on the ram speed controller and will not release the ability to amd to use above 1333 mhz so you must go into your bios and manually set the ram speed to 1600 mhz)
Tricky to overclock but once you find a sweet spot and a balance between voltage and timings can be done and improve the performance of your ram like a boss!!!!
I also love the cooling heatsink look. Gives it that aggressive look in your case.

Cons: Well there realy isnt much to say negatively about corsair ram. Only thing that i can say is somewhat negative is that its difficult to overclock so it isnt for the begginer overclocker however its the most stable ram in my opinion out there. Why settle for some G.Skill ram that you can chance to burnout from overclocking to high when you can get awsome stable ram with better quality heatsinks?

Other Thoughts: Only wish that on amd motherboards they would set the dim sockets lower then where they are. Cannot put in a radiator on one of the top fan slots on my case because the heatsink on the ram interferes with it!

3 out of 5 eggsVery sensitive at 1600.

Pros: High capacity, decent timing.

Cons: These sticks while marketed as 1600, will only run there when the stars align just perfectly.

Short Version: BIOS recognized as 1600, unfortunately I actually had to push the sticks to 1.51V for them to run stable at that speed.

Long Version: At 1.50V on a DRAM slot they would perform very inconsistently, at one point I under volted to 1.495V just to see how sensitive they were and they basically stopped working. I slowly pushed the volts up until the system ran stable under various stress tests for 12 hours. I ended up at 1.509V, which I bumped to 1.51V just to be on the safe side. They have been running stable now for a couple months now.

Other Thoughts: Unless you actually have control over your DRAM slot voltages, I would highly suggest either running these at 1333 or getting different sticks of RAM.

2 out of 5 eggs???

Pros: 8GB, cheap

Cons: I bought it because it was shown as 1600 mhz (12800) but it's recognized as 1333.. when overclocked, I have some problems when starting my computer. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I wish someone could help me!

Wrong presentation on Newegg!

Other Thoughts: Please someone from newegg, contact me!
