5 out of 5 eggsAwesome.

This review is from: Corsair Force Series GS CSSD-F180GBGS-BK 2.5" 180GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Sped up my computer more than I could imagine. Boot times are unreal and even Photoshop starts up in about a second. I've been using this daily for seven months now without a problem.

Cons: Zero.

Other Thoughts: Definitely recommend this SSD. I've had friends that haven't had nearly as much luck with other brands, so definitely try this out.

1 out of 5 eggsStay away

This review is from: Corsair Force Series GS CSSD-F180GBGS-BK 2.5" 180GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Ran quickly, at least while it lasted.

Cons: Unreliable, extremely short lifespan, failure prone.

Other Thoughts: Absolutely awful quality product. I purchased this drive in September, and by December, I was already experiencing issues. As of now (March), the disc is only sporadically recognized by my BIOS. Do not purchase this drive for any reason - you're lucky if you get three problem-free months out of it.

5 out of 5 eggsSOLD OUT FAST!

This review is from: Corsair Force Series GS CSSD-F180GBGS-BK 2.5" 180GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: You know you bought the right item when it sells out days after you bought it. Less than $1 per GB, thank goodness we've crossed that barrier on SSD. Read the other reviews for tech specs, but know this, it's plug and play and super fast. Don't forget to format and mount the drive in WIN7.

Cons: New-egg please get more in stock and drop the price about $11.00. No more rebates, ever, ever, ever, they are the devil.

Other Thoughts: Doesn’t smell like delicious bacon. Mmmmmm bacon.

5 out of 5 eggsBest SSD at cost

This review is from: Corsair Force Series GS CSSD-F180GBGS-BK 2.5" 180GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: This SSD is insanely fast and way better compared to the Intels I've used in the past. Install times are quick, cleanups are also quick, and games run like thunder on the open plain. When I buy more SSD's I'm definitely getting more Corsairs.

Cons: It doesn't come with any cool demon stickers for the case.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst SSD

This review is from: Corsair Force Series GS CSSD-F180GBGS-BK 2.5" 180GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Fast, small form factor.

Cons: Cost per GB compared to platter HDDs. Still not bad when compared to cost per MB back in the stone age of PC building. (I once paid $525 for a 25MB SCSI, so we have come a long way baby!)

Other Thoughts: I set the BIOS for SDD maker's recommendations and turned off my Avast AV before testing and got scores close to advertised on Crystal Disk benchmark. Noticed some SDD reviewers' complain that they don't get scores anywhere close. CDB site shows a known issue ... "4K QD32 write test may conflict with Norton and Avira security software, so please stop real time scanner before running test temporarily. " S turn off your AV, (any version) and make sure you have your NB BIOS set to your SDD maker's recommendations before testing.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Product AWFUL support

This review is from: Corsair Force Series GS CSSD-F180GBGS-BK 2.5" 180GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Solid product, I own 4 of them and they all work great as RAID 0 with TRIM support (make sure you have the chipset that will support!)

Cons: I had some set up issues when I first purchased so I contacted customer support - multiple times, and never receive a single response. I am highly disappointed in Corsair's customer support, I have never been shown so little care or respect. Hence I took an egg away, and I'm still tempted to take another. Poorest service I have ever had Corsair.
If you happen to have a faulty product, don't count on customer service to help you out.

Other Thoughts: I was able to get them working how I wanted with no problems but it took me a little more than a week without any customer support and a lot of research I'm sure most would pass on.

This review is from: Corsair Force Series GS CSSD-F180GBGS-BK 2.5" 180GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Slim, quiet, Solid State perfection.

5 out of 5 eggsFast but First One Failed.

This review is from: Corsair Force Series GS CSSD-F180GBGS-BK 2.5" 180GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Very Fast
Small Form Factor (as with all SSD)
No moving parts

Cons: My first one failed after 2 days, it just stopped being recognized. Bios and windows couldn't see it. This was after i installed windows 8 fresh and all my programs to the drive. I'm glad I didn't reformat my WD Velociraptors with my other install of windows at that point yet. I've never really had a problem like this before, with 12 positive reviews I'm assuming I'm just unlucky. Great drive otherwise though, lets hope the replacement works as it should~

Other Thoughts: Just buy it.
