5 out of 5 eggsBest SSD

Pros: Without a doubt, this is the best SSD/Hard Drive i've ever owned. Was extremely easy to install and I haven't had one problem with it. The drive is BLAZING fast, Windows 7 64 loads in 8 seconds or less. I would recommend this product to anyone and I have used it in two builds, besides my own, already.

Cons: there are none

Other Thoughts: Don't let someone who has an axe to grind with customer service dissuade you from getting this product. This is a superior piece of hardware.

1 out of 5 eggsWell not so great - Rebate

Pros: See my other review, this is an addendum. Drive is still fine but this is a Corsair CS review more than anything

Cons: Sent in the rebate for the drive, invoice and all, and corsairs rebate folks decided I didn't send a valid receipt. There is no arguing with that company, and corsair further told me "tuff luck" were the exact words.

Product might be awesome, don't expect much from the rebate.

Other Thoughts: Rebates are such a part of SSD purchase nowadays that it's insulting to be told it wont be coming.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Philz,

We're sorry for you have not received your rebate, please contact our Customer Service Department at 888-222-4346 and we'll be happy to help you.

Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Product

Pros: Solid performance whether data is compressed or not. Has all the features (i.e. Trim) one would expect but also important to me, the drive hits the specs the mfg publishes. This builds credibility.

Flawlessly upgraded my old Compaq 8510p laptop and love the increase in performance, but really, thank you SSD. Been very stable and no Windows 7 x64 install issues.

Cons: New chipset with new track record. I took the plunge. :)

Other Thoughts: So far I am very pleased with the drive and review sites show the real-world performance being excellent.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat SSD contender from Corsair

Pros: Very consistant performance across the board in any situation.
Very fast sequential reads, saturates the SATA3 6.0.
Very low latency and access times.
fast writes
comes with a nice black brushed metal 2.5 to 3.5 adapter, with corsair etched on it. that's a 5 to 10 dollar value right there compared to others that dont come with one.

Cons: Not the cheapest drive around.
Not a GTX, thus slower writes, but this isn't really a con, it's an option.
New controller debut, potentially risky.
No migration/transfer software included for those that need it, but this could be seen as a Pro or Con, as it can drive up the price if it did include one. No biggy for me
240GB is the biggest they offer at time of purchase, but im sure larger versions will be released later.

Other Thoughts: a Solid contender from corsair for sure.
if you dont need the extreme write speeds (as in if you are not using any productivity software), get this over the GTX, and save yourself 30-40 bux.
write speeds are still fast being a non-gtx model compared to competition.
extremely consistent performance compressible or non-compressible.

Personally i think it's priced just right for it's class of performance.

5 out of 5 eggsSo Far - Awesome Drive

Pros: Fast, consistent 317+ mbps writes and it maxes out SATA 6gb's writes (505-525 mbps is where it hovers). Also seems to work great with OSX mountain lion (hack) and doesn't quiver at the HFS+ File system as Intel's 510's do under high pressure

Cons: Casing is a bit lame, could have given a secure enclosure to the SSD board. I'm just pulling at straw here. Otherwise can't think of anything so far.

Other Thoughts: Time will tell on reliability but frankly the chipset used in the drive already has a proven track record in the enterprise space.

4 out of 5 eggsFast Stable Steady

Pros: Great Drive, fast reads! Stable and comes with a mounting bracket

Cons: Write speed isn't as fast as some of the other drives out there but still tons better than a HDD. GTX line has way better writes but is more expensive.

Other Thoughts: Anyone looking for one of the best upgrades to your computers speed grabs an ssd.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Buy

Pros: -No hassle install. Worked great right out of the box with my older foxconn motherboard and AMD quadcore on a SATAII connection. No firmware updates necessary.
-Comes with 3.5" conversion plate and screws
-Quiet, Fast, Good Price.
-Sturdy, I abused the connectors more than I'm sure is healthy during install and it caused no damage. (It's a tight squeeze in my case atm)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'm slowly upgrading my system piece by piece. The motherboard and processor are slated for upgrades later on so I wanted something that would take full advantage of the upgrades when they happened. I have had really good experiences with corsair products and their new neutron drive was available at a fair price. So far I have been extremely happy with the improvements in performance and look forward to being able to fully take advantage of the drive in the near future.
