5 out of 5 eggsReal fast - tight timings

This review is from: CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model CMD16GX3M2A2133C9

Pros: This is priced at same platinum series 2400 MHz with loser timing CAS11. I'd rather have slightly tighter timings CAS9 and Overclock it to 2400 MHz.

Cons: Expensive - The premium is for the looks and quality memory being used.

Other Thoughts: LED lights add special-effect. Sweetest looking memory of ever had. It's running XMP profile easily and I don't need to overclock it.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent RAM

This review is from: CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model CMD16GX3M2A2133C9

Pros: Corsair's Dominator Platinum line is really something special. In terms of aesthetics, I truly believe that these are the best looking modules out there. The light bar really gives a feeling that this RAM is something special. In terms of build quality, these sticks feel like they could withstand anything. They are extremely heavy, and there is no play at all in any of the components of the heat spreader - everything is just solidly attached. I have always been a fan of Corsair products, and offerings like this really shows the Corsair is still on their game.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb memory!

This review is from: CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model CMD16GX3M2A2133C9

Pros: - Very reliable, solid product
- Custom PCB, heatsink, and LED look great
- Strong performance
- Easy overclocking

Cons: None really, except price. If you are able to get them at $200 or less do not hesitate, worth every penny.

Other Thoughts: This is the Lamborghini of desktop memory :-)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

This review is from: CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model CMD16GX3M2A2133C9

Pros: performing very well on my Asus Maximus VI Formula.

Cons: Price maybe discouraging but if you see it on sale below it's retail price ($199), buy it.

Other Thoughts: Looks great, the light is cutomizable if you want to upgrade it but this one lits up already.

I would buy another set to make my rig 32gb but for now 16gb serves me pretty good.

Also, when installed it was detected 1333mhz, so changed it to xmp profile and it's performing as intended (2133mhz)

5 out of 5 eggsGood Stuff

This review is from: CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model CMD16GX3M2A2133C9

Pros: Great stuff, runs at or above rated speed, running mine at 2400. The lights on them add some bling to my case.

Cons: Expensive, but I'm willing to pay to play

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

This review is from: CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model CMD16GX3M2A2133C9

Pros: Worked Immediately with MSI Z87 Mpower motherboard at 2133 after enabling xmp profile along with intel i7-4770k and uefi samsung 840 pro on windows 8.1 with msi 760 4gb video card.

Purchased this from a local retail store that sounds like french fries after the competitor's "identical" set, named similar to "snake" 3, threw many, many, many varying errors at 2133 but zero at 1600 (Patriotic memory at that speed was not on MSI's list of compatible memory, but this is). Moral of story: this just works! Apparently, working at stated speeds isn't just a plug and play thing, and working as advertised is a "pro."

Cons: Cost is higher than competitors, but you get what you pay for.
Many online reviews say corsair ram can't really be stably overclocked unless your specific set is special. So, buy the speed you really want, because you're unlikely to be able to overclock to the speed you want.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet RAM!!

This review is from: CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model CMD16GX3M2A2133C9

Pros: Definitely awesome. A little pricey, but you usually get what you pay for and with this you definitely do.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Something I though was cool that I don't remember seeing in any of the reviews, on the inside corners of the heat sink of the RAM it lights up little white LEDs. Thought that was pretty cool.
