Step up to Solid-State Speed with Force Series 3

One of the best PC performance investments you can make.

You'll be amazed at the improvement over traditional hard drive access times the first time you turn on your computer, and for virtually everything you do with your PC. System startup, game and application load times, file loading, data transfers, and even shutdown times are all faster.

Your system will be more responsive, and you'll be more productive.

Add up all the time you spend all day waiting for your computer — starting up, loading game levels, saving large files and documents, and just moving data around — and it can be significant.

Using a PC can be a lot more enjoyable when it's not always making you wait.

The power of SATA 3 6Gb/second performance

The SATA 3 connection on the Force Series 3 offers up to 6Gb/s speed vs. SATA 2 drives that top out at 3Gb/s.

Great for the latest high-performance PCs.

There's fast, and then there's fast. Force Series 3 SSDs have even quicker read and write times when they're installed in PCs that use the latest SATA 3 interface.

Compatible with SATA 2 3Gb/s.

Haven't yet moved to SATA 3? Like all Corsair components, Force Series 3 SSDs are designed to last through several system upgrades. Adding a Force Series 3 today means that you'll still get incredible storage performance now, and your SSD will be ready for your next upgrade.

Force Series 3: Get more for less.

Choosing a Force Series 3 SSD helps your computing budget go farther. Powered by the SandForce SF-2200 controller, they deliver outstanding SATA 3 6Gb/s performance, with prices that are comparable to lower-performance SATA 2 3Gb/s solid-state drives.

Corsair SSDs: Designed for Performance and Durability

Corsair SSDs are 2.5" wide, the same size as notebook hard drives. An adapter is included for mounting in standard desktop PC 3.5" drive bays.

TRIM Support

Force Series 3 SSDs feature support for the Windows® 7 TRIM command. This allows them to store only the data they need and perform memory optimization to ensure the fastest possible write speeds.

Because SSDs have no moving parts, they can handle shock, vibration and temperature changes far in excess of traditional hard drives. That's important for desktop PCs, and essential for notebooks.

Cool and Quiet, with Low Power Consumption

Traditional mechanical hard drives spin at thousands of revolutions per minute. This takes power, and generates noise and heat. Since SSDs have no moving parts, there's no noise or vibration, and the lower power consumption helps keep things cool inside your PC.

3.5" adapter

The 2.5" form factor allows for installation in most notebook PCs with no adapter required. If you're adding a Force Series 3 SSD to your desktop PC, use the included 3.5" adapter to mount it in any standard hard drive bay.

5 out of 5 eggsdefinitely a good referb

Pros: Fast, Reliable, easy to install, sturdy, light

Cons: occasionally false reading on RW operations.
Instability when running multiple OS.

Other Thoughts: I've owned this drive for a little over 2 years now as my main OS drive. A few problems here and there that are generally easy to fix. When I first got this drive I was worried about its reliability being that it was a referbished SSD. But after the first 3 months of using it, I came to trust it more. once I made it my main OS drive, I was amazed at how much quicker things ran. I'd have to clean the error dump more often than I'd like, but still Ana amazing SSD. But just the other day, it started to fail. Things have slowed down and I'm looking for a newer bigger SSD. I have been thoroughly impressed and will stick with Corsair SSDs from now on.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Drives!

Pros: As fast as any other 60 gig SSD for booting and program loading. Cheap! I've bought several of these and they have all worked 100% and lasted well. Bought December 2013.

Cons: No legitimate complaints!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value. Going strong 2 years now.

Pros: Still works after 2 years of light use. The first year I used this drive in an office setting that only got used every few days. The second year it has been running in a 24/7 office and rarely gets turned off. Fast enough for me (on a sata 2 port). Not bad for a Ulysses Grant

Cons: 60 GB only good for OS to live and no more than 30 GB is free after Win 7 install which is fine for me for work.

Other Thoughts: I came back here to possibly by another one. So that says something.

2 out of 5 eggsDrive was great, until it died.

Pros: Very fast, linux (Server) would boot in roughly 12-13 seconds

Cons: This drive is just past the 90 day mark and it has also failed.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this drive to replace a failed Linux OS drive (also an SSD). 2nd Corsair to go bad on me (first was new), so I'm trying a different brand. When SSD's work, they are awesome!

1 out of 5 eggslast refurbished thing ill buy from here

Pros: none besides the drive is light and looks nice.

Cons: The drive was bought for its cheapness and that it was an ssd. This is not the frist time i have bought a refurbished drive from newegg, because i thought they only sold items that were working. I know the risk of a refurbished drive that it may fail allot quicker than one that is new, but at least it was working! I tried this on 3 computers with different sata cables. This is my first corsair product i have ever bought and would think that i could trust this ssd because the sticker they put on it with a "warranty". i went on newegg to see if i could return it but i would just like a working ssd and they dont even offer me a option to replace it.

Other Thoughts: I just wish i could get a working drive
