You'll appreciate this real-world benefit if you work with music, movie and graphics files. It is an ideal choice whether you're building the ultimate gaming PC, a monster of a video or photo editing workstation, or you simply crave serious solid state storage performance.
  • newegg SATA III interface Force Series GT SSDs features SATA III interface which is also backward compatible with SATA II. Adding a Force Series GT today means that you'll still get incredible storage performance now, and you'll tap into its full performance potential with your next upgrade.
  • newegg TRIM Support Force Series GT SSDs feature support for the Windows 7 TRIM command. This allows them to store only the data they need and perform memory optimization to ensure the fastest possible write speeds.
  • newegg Cool and Quiet, with Low Power Consumption Traditional mechanical hard drives spin at thousands of revolutions per minute. This takes power, and generates noise and heat. Since SSDs have no moving parts, there's no noise or vibration, and the lower power consumption helps keep things cool inside your PC.

4 out of 5 eggsWorked out of box just fine.

Pros: Nice red color, came in a nice sorta over-sized box, no cables but I didn't expect to get any anyway, worked right out the box without issue. Sata III is nice and snappy.

Cons: Nothing wrong with the card in particular but 60 Gb goes quick if you are installing more than a few simple programs.

Other Thoughts: Would recommend getting the 120 or 240 gb version instead, after Windows 8.1 was installed there was only 47gb left and 4 games later it's full, so if you plan to use just one of these and no HDD or second SSD, opt for the bigger one for another 10 bucks if you can.

3 out of 5 eggsOK

Pros: The drive is working and it was inexpensive. I had a Corsair 120GB GT I have had for a few years and wanted a separate SSD to install Ubuntu on.

Cons: The refurbished drive seemed to have a much lower quality case than my Corsair 120 GB SSD I purchased a few years ago. Maybe they all are that way now but the difference in the cases is noticeable. The warranty of only 30 days is poor. I didn't realize this on purchase, I would have spent slightly more and bought something from another manufacture.

4 out of 5 eggsCorsair Force GT 60GB

Pros: This was my first SSD and I fell in love with it, it also looked really amazing and very light but still solid at the same time. Fast load time and everything was just faster than my old HD. Had it around a year and its still going strong, no sign of failure.

Cons: A few cons with this drive but nothing major.
-60GB is way to small, I had to end up purchasing a new SSD to get more space
-At the time i bought this, it was around 70$ which is way to costly for a 60GB SSD
-I don't think the speeds it says are actual, but may be way less

Other Thoughts: Did me well, still doing me well, would not recommend because there are much better larger ssd's for a cheaper price out now. I don't regret buying this item and it was worth it at the time of purchase, never once looked back.

5 out of 5 eggsManufacturer Recert Goodness.

Pros: Very pleased with this purchase. Bought two. Got them for $34.99 a piece.. THANK YOU NEWEGG! What a great purchase! So happy! Decided Id wait a while before writing this review, just to be on the safe side. Worked out just fine it looks like!
Have them running in Raid0 .. they work great. Just slightly less in speed than my pair of Corsair Force GSs (which I love, and run in raid0 also) so I was super excited to see this deal on some GTs. Have these installed in a secondary rig I use for various things including being my HTPC. Stats will be below just for reference.
Max speed at max transfer size on ATTO disk benchmark was :
Read - 1034 MB/s
Write - 991 MS/s

Cons: None so far!

Other Thoughts: The system these are installed in is as follows :

CPU : Intel I5 2500K @ 4.63Ghz (102.91x45)
Motherboard : Gigabyte P67A-UD4
Memory :8GB (2x4) Mushkin PC3-1600 9-9-9-24
Video Card : AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB
HD : that's what the review is for ;)

4 out of 5 eggsGood value

Pros: Cheap, decent speeds.

Cons: Only 60GB

Other Thoughts: Bought it refurbished for $35. I put it in a a 4 year old laptop. Now the laptop feels new again. Decent speeds, cheap, and does exactly what I bought it for.

5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for your buck.

Pros: Super fast, worked immediately, compatible with older machines (SATA I and SATA II)

Cons: Obviously taking a risk in buying a refurbished product, although this hasn't been an issue as of yet.

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these drives refurbished (64GB). I purchased them as long-overdue upgrades: a Toshiba P200 Satellite laptop that I purchased in 2006, and Toshiba NB255 netbook that I purchased in 2011. The NB255 ran Windows 7 Starter when I bought it, and I immediately upgraded it to Windows 7 Ultimate the day I got it. For those of you who don't know, Windows 7 is arguably more hardware-intensive than Windows 8, so it goes without saying that this operating system was (and to some extent, still is) beyond the capabilities of its hardware. The Satellite came with Windows Vista Home Premium, and I have run Windows 7 since it was introduced up until the time I installed this solid state drive in it - then I put Windows 8.1 Enterprise on it.

The Satellite only supports SATA I at 1.5 Gbps, and some may consider putting a 6 Gbps drive like in it overkill, but it was still using the original hard disk drive, so anything would have been an upgrade. Furthermore, the real performance of an SSD is not so much its sequential read/write numbers (for most people), but in its IOPS - input and output operations per second. The IOPS number tells you how many different places the SSD can read or write to in a single second, and obviously a higher number is more desirable - it is less affected by link speed (SATA I/II/II 1.5/3/6 Gbps) than the sequential read/write speeds are, so even in an older system, the gains an SSD will have are immense. Installing it in the Satellite was the best thing I've ever done to it - it was really a breath of much-needed fresh air into what is a now very obsolete laptop. Not counting the long BIOS load time, startup times on this laptop are now in the 15-20 second range. An SSD of this size was perfect for this particular laptop as it has 2 disk drive bays, and I have the SSD in one for the operating system/program files, and one (a slightly older 300GB HDD) for the music, pictures, videos, and other media files.

The NB255, even though newer, was a little less affected by the SSD than the Satellite. It supports SATA III, but only at 3 Gbps, but I don't often perform file transfers on it, so maximizing sequential speeds wasn't a priority. It's obviously not built for sheer power, but this drive certainly still eliminated much waiting time for anything and everything hard drive related. Boot times are around the same as the Satellite's, and it feels much more like a full-blown laptop than it used to. Again, storage space was adequate as I don't keep any media locally on this system - I have a NAS system at home, so in the event that I need media on the netbook, I can simply access it from my NAS drive.

Overall, if you are looking for something cheap to bring life to any system and you don't absolutely need a ton of storage space, this drive is for you. You won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsRefurb SSD Saves $$$, Works Great

Pros: Works great. Boots quickly. No glitches and surprises. No special drivers needed for Windows 7.
Programs load and cold boot is nice and fast.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I am using this SSD to boot a home theatre PC. Boot is nice and fast. In fact, cold boot is faster than waking from "sleep". Program load is fast, too.

I like buying factory-refurbs as they save money and the device is pretty much "just like new".

5 out of 5 eggsLove it <3

Pros: Very fast and easy to install, plus the write and read speeds are fantastic. This is my first SSD and I ordered it straight from NEWEGG because you guys offer free shipping and don't charge insane tax like those other folks. *Cough*

Cons: None what so ever, my SSD actually looks brand new...

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this to anyone look to buy their first SSD drive at an affordable price...
