1 out of 5 eggsNever had an issue with Corsair memory until now

Pros: Looks good, reasonably priced for the timing.

Cons: I purchased this ram in late October 2013 and it's now April 2014. It was fast at first, but my machine seemed to be slowing overtime. I assumed it was just the "new build effect" where you get used to how fast hardware is after a while. Then one day I was playing BF4 and I started having some horrible graphics glitching. Tried to restart my machine and it BSODed with an error from memory manager. So I ran memtest86+ overnight and both sticks had tons of bad sectors.

Other Thoughts: I've never had any issues with Corsair products until this most recent build. Purchased a water cooler and ram and both have failed in under a year. I'm not sure what's going on with Corsair's quality control, but they need to get things together. I'll be replacing this ram with some GSkill Ripjaws and selling the RMA replacement. I can't go for weeks with no ram.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsWorks on the GA-990FXA-UD3

Pros: 32 gigs is way faster than 16! If you've read the review by DANIEL s. below you should know not to post after "Happy Hour!"
I've never seen, or owned a faster rig! My FX-8350 just loves the extra headroom!

Cons: I paid more for the first set, but now with 32 gigs, I don't care! Still no Sammy, and I had to clean out the dust bunnies again! No cons here!

Other Thoughts: I promise not to post after happy hour! Ha-ha!
I really wanted to build a rig that would do everything that I wanted it to do for my needs. I'm a COD, and Battlefield fan, and some other WWII fps. You know my board and cpu, so this is my rig:
CM HAF XM case, from the EGG, best case ever!
Corsair H-80 cooler,
2x ProlimaTech Ultra Sleek Vortex 14 fans on the H-80 (pwm 140mm fans with a 120mm hole pattern that not only push more air on a 120 rad, they work great on the CM 212 EVO, just ask my office rig. 'bought them at the EGG!)
4 CM Mega Flow 200mm red led fans, 1 on the door, 1 on front, and 2 on the top, you'll probably guess the airflow.
EVGA 1000 watt psu, 1000 G2 also from the EGG!
2x EVGA GTX 560ti 2gb in sli
SoundBlaster X-fi Fatality,
The above mobo and cpu, and
32 gigs of this glorious Corsair Vengeance Pro in red form!
32 gigs, SLI on an AMD based rig!
I love Life!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm

Pros: Fast, can be overclocked and has a large heat sink to keep it cool.

Cons: None that I can think of. Just a little tall is all.

Other Thoughts: Its a tad tall, so the large heatsink I put in had to be mounted in a different position from what I would have liked to mount it in, but no biggy. Does the job and works well with the system.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks on a GA-990FXA-UD3

Pros: Works great and looks even better. Seems faster than the Vengeance 4x4gig '1600's these replaced.

Cons: The red Corsair Vengeance tang on the heat sinks is a not the tightest fit. The price went up $10.00 since last week.

Other Thoughts: My rig is AMD based with the Gigabyte board above and FX-8350 cpu. I was hesitant to buy this RAM because of the "everything Intel" in the description and reviews.
The first attempt at installation resulted in the two long error beeps and wouldn't post. I reinstalled one of the 4 gig sticks and went into the bios and "dumbed" everything down to auto 1333. I shut it down and put 1 stick in and posted, went into the bios, and configured to 1600, auto voltage, set timings to 2t,9t,9t,9t,24t,5t, F10'd out, and posted right up. Shut it down, installed the 2'nd stick and off to the races.
The red and black match my rigs theme.
I'm definitely going to get another set to max out my board.
Thanks Newegg for the quick and OnTrac delivery!

5 out of 5 eggsCORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2x8GB) - Outstanding

Pros: Installed two 8GB modules @ 1600MHz (12800MB throughput) for a total of 16GB in dual-channel fashion on an MSI-Z77-GD65 motherboard and it works great. It runs fast and have had no problems.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Plan to install two additional 8GB modules later on as program and application demand for RAM goes up. That will max up the total RAM capacity (32GB) on this motherboard which is plenty.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat kit!

Pros: It's RAM and it does what RAM does. lol

But seriously, I ran this set through the paces as soon as it arrived, memtest86+, AIDA64, etc. 20+ hours.

I put it in my system and it booted right up, no issues.

I have not overclocked this kit.

Cons: It does not come with bacon.

Other Thoughts: This kit seems to work and play well with others. I am currently running this 16GB (2 x 8GB) set with a set of G.SKILL Ripjaw X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) for a total of 24GB of system memory with no issues.

I have 2 G.SKILL kits, oddly enough the Corsair kit works with the G.SKILL kits but the G.SKILL kits do not work with each other. lol
