4 out of 5 eggslarge fast but

Pros: Size and speed

Cons: The drive has been reliable, But it is physically to big I can not plug it into my USB ports in my laptop. I am not sure if this was a contributing factor to my USB port going bad but I have to use a portable hub to use it proper. Also this unit has a removable cap that cap now does not stay on and requires a rubber band to hold it together.

Other Thoughts: I am replacing this with a different Corsair with a sliding cap and 256GB of memory.

Pros: I bought this because I need to move a lot of audio and video files around and I am impatient. This unit was advertised as the fastest read/write available at the time, and I think it still is, so i bought it. I don't benchmark, but I've not seen anything faster except my Corsair SSD sata drives. I can't imagine anyone not being really happy with this usb drive. It rips. And I've had it for about 7 months now in full time service with all great results.

Cons: I can't think of one, not even after 7 months of using it.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast with lots of capacity.

Cons: It's wide. If the USB ports are close and side by side this guy will invade the other port's space. If the computer chassis is near the port, this guy won't work at all.

The cap could be more secure. I hate losing the cap in my pocket. And there's a line that inflames my OCD. Now I have to look to make sure the line is in the right place.

Other Thoughts: Why can't USB drives be longer instead of wider?

4 out of 5 eggsFat but fine

Pros: I get copy speeds on a MacBook Air of 55–65 MB/s. I'm using it for Time Machine backups, and have had no problems.

The only problem is that the device is FAT (as in portly -- not a file format, but a physical format) and blocks the adjacent ports, so I need to either disconnect my Thunderbolt devices or the power cable in order to insert this into a USB port. Thanks, Apple!

Cons: It needs to lose weight, or at least circumference.

Other Thoughts: Why would you name a thumb drive after a pirate ship? Pirates stole your valuables -- would you want to entrust your data to a pirate?

5 out of 5 eggsFastest Flash Drive on the Market!!!

Pros: Ive owned a half dozen flash drives over the years, and given I needed something for video files, photo files, and engineering files; i needed something that would save in a reasonably fast period of time and would hold up to the test of time which being made by a company I love.

Cons: Price. I paid $175 on fleebay, and its high, but it is what it is. Also Corsair has no student discounts or reviewer discounts.

Other Thoughts: If your looking for the best 256 flash drive on the market, this is it. Faster than anything on the market in June of 2014, and truthfully id like to upgrade to the Kingston 1tb drive for the hell of it.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: Fast transfers, high capacity, does everything I need.

Cons: NONE!

Other Thoughts: Comes formatted as FAT, changed to NTFS/512 bytes in less than two hours! People complain about the width of the drive, but that's to be expected since this is a high-capacity one. Bottom line: it performs well with no issues.

5 out of 5 eggsStill Working Flawlessly

Pros: Originally I made my first review based on the little time I had it, which it was by far faster than any other flash drive I've ever used.
Then my buddy was in the need for a flash drive, except not for his personal use but for government type files which the drive needed to be encrypted and erase with government class software. Anyhow, he used the drive for a for about two weeks while he'd get his own, and he said it was so fast at loading files that pretty much in every presentation he had to make he never expected it to be this fast. Usually the government issues low end class (dell usually) flash drives.

He was so impressed and please with this drive that he ordered one for his own personal use. And finally after he gave it back, it was completely wiped out with FAT file system, so formatted back to NTFS and been using it again ever since and I definitely have to recommend this drive, I've used to so many times, reading and writing speeds are unbelievable fast.

Cons: I still cannot get this drive right next to my 2.4GHz wireless connector for my keyboard/mouse without causing it to glitch so bad that the mouse skips and the keystrokes as well.
It would be a great idea if future generations are shielded.
