Pros: Nice Look!
Fast!
Work perfectly at 2400 Mhz

If you have a Maximus V Gene it will work well after Bios Update!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I replace my Corsir Dominator 4 X 2 GB 1600 MHZ for these kit and I am happy about speed difference.

At first I was not sure it will be compatible with my Asus Maximus Gene V with my i7 3770K but after a Bios update I was able to OC to 2400 Mhz. Before that he crash when I try to go more then 1600 Mhz

My Setup :

5 out of 5 eggsEasy to setup, runs fast and as expected

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R

Pros: Heat spreaders are neat, they stay reasonably cool in my micro build and do not get in the way of my Corsair H100i GTX on a Mini ITX board. Went into BIOS and changed the RAM timings from default to auto and it recognized the sticks and set it up immediately. Works great with my MSI A88XI AC, these were listed on MSI's website as the tested recommended brand and it works flawlessly.

Cons: None that I can see thus far.

Other Thoughts: My Rig Setup;
Corsair Graphite 380T White
MSI A88XI AC FM2+
AMD Athlon X4 860K-BE
Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3-2400 16GB
Corsair Neutron XT 480GB
MSI R9 390 8GB Gaming
Corsair Hydro H100i GTX
Corsair CX750M PSU

5 out of 5 eggsBest choice for Gamers

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R

Pros: Pros clock-speed @ 2400 mhz allows for fast stable access to resources instantly , price when on sale they are the same price as the 1600mhz kit and the difference in timings will be so slight that you will never notice it Ever ,the colors black and red accents on the removable heat spreaders are just amazing i paired mine with a black and silver kit for a total of 32 gigs of ram on my asus maximus hero vii

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: mix and match colors like a black and red kit with a black and silver kit for a truly beautiful and attractive Pc

2 out of 5 eggswas good, now its not stable at advertised clock speed

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R

Pros: it worked for about month with the xmp profile set to 2400mhz

Cons: ever since the power went out twice my new computer build can't use xmp profile set to 2400mhz. it goes on a reset loop until I take one of the ram sticks out and use optimize settings which on this set of ram is only 1.5v 1300mhz.

Other Thoughts: when I mess around with the bios it will work with the xmp profile on the ram set to 2400mhz sometimes, but once I turn my computer off it goes back to the reset loop or crashes due to overclocking and have to go back down to 1.5v 1300mhz. I might rma this and try one more set with this brand...........and hopefully nothing bad happens.

2 out of 5 eggsThe Culprit

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R

Pros: - Looks cool
- 16GB

Cons: - Unstable? Defective? Who knows... read below.

Other Thoughts: I got this memory along with all my other components for my first build in a long time (i7 4790K, EVGA GTX 980Ti, Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5 Board, EVGA 1000W PSU, etc.)

After finally putting together the parts (following proper grounding/static prevention process of course), with pride, I installed my first batch of games, which were Far Cry 4, GTA5, BM:AK.

After a long Steam download, it was finally time. I prepared myself to bask in the glory of playing them all with absolute maximum settings. And I got to experience that... albeit at a nice-and-short 5 to 10-minute intervals.

Here I was, I front of this beast of a machine that I've dreamed about having ever since high school. But, alas, the world being what it is, cruel and unforgiving, denied me even that.

"Oh, that's a nice, and expensive, little toy you got yourself there!" said the world. "It would be too bad if.... something were wrong with it..."

Yeah... something was seriously wrong...

LIKE CRASHING EVERY GOSH DARN 10 MINUTES IN EVERY SINGLE GOSH DARNED GAME. (Newegg wouldn't let me swear...)

Seriously. All games, regardless of the publisher/developer/whatever were crashing to desktop without fail, without discrimination. Here I was, close to 1.5 grand committed to this thing and it wouldn't stop crapping itself.

I didn't know where to begin. Was it the GPU? Did I short the motherboard somehow even after properly grounding myself? CPU maybe?

...could... could memory be the culprit?

I've got to be honest... I've never really given too much thought into RAM for all my past builds. I just got whichever had the highest GB for the price and called it a day.

Now, I'm not completely oblivious. I know this memory was 2400hz, which meant I had to enable XMP profile for the motherboard in order to fully utilize all that hz-ness. And I'm pretty sure an i7 4790k can handle that bit of OC.

The memory also passed all the mem tests I threw at it. I've tried switching out to older GPU, CPU. But the games crashed all the same.

After about 2 months of self-denial and fingers crossed every round of CS:GO. I've finally said "enough." I went out and got another set of memory sticks, this time from the good folks at G.Skill.

Hallelujah.

Yesterday, I've started up a game of Fallout 4 at 6PM. By the time I got up from my chair, it was 1AM.

7 hours of uninterrupted, crash-free gameplay. Pure bliss took over me.

I'll admit, I went down to 1600hz for the G.Skill set... but my system should have been able to handle 2400hz easily. Or maybe not, who knows what the culprit was. All I know is, I'm now living my high school dream, hunkered down in front of my "Monster" (I named my PC Monster) letting in all the graphical glory radiating from the beautiful, g-sync enabled monitor. And, best part of it all : completely without interruption. Well.. of course with the exception of the occasional nagging GF... but that's always going on so...

Pros: They do exactly what they're supposed to without fault.

Cons: Zilch

Other Thoughts: Hey, its Corsair. These seem to run just fine with my i5 4690k.
