4 out of 5 eggsTypical Corsair

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R

Pros: -Neat design.
-2400Mhz Clock speed.
-Was fairly cheap, was expecting alot more $ for Memory.
-Flexable overclocking

Cons: -Default Clock speeds lower than advertised, not the first time from Corsair.
-had to adjust my bios quite a bit
-Suffered a Few Bluescreens before addressing the issue... seems to be fine now taking an egg off.

Other Thoughts: Seems like every memory kit by Corsair tends to downclock itself by default... at least with me and my selection of mobos. no matter.. by default, my BIOS Had it Clocked at 1330Mhz and at 1.54 Volts. quite low, I didnt notice this till windows suffered a few BSODs while installing drivers... fed up by this, I went to the bios, overclocked it to the advertised speed of 2400Mhz and up the voltage to 1.7v... seems like its running stable now as I have yet to have a blue-screen for about a week.

Buyer be aware, if you don't know or want to overclock... look elsewhere...

4 out of 5 eggsNew computer build

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R

Pros: 2400 MHz
Good price compared to other 2400 MHz Corsair ram.

Cons: 2400 MHz is not stable with my Gigabyte A88XM-D3H motherboard.

Other Thoughts: I should have done a little more research on what ram is most compatible with my motherboard. The board does allow for 2400 ram but my computer only runs stable at 2133 or less. I think its the ram that's the problem, but 2133 is a good setting too. The processor is an APU 7870K.

I noticed the red version costs more than the other color options. I think I got this as a deal or all the color options were the same price when I bought the ram.

5 out of 5 eggsGoes with my red build

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R

Pros: Nice red and black design. Looks great with an asus maximus vii impact. Quality build. Heat sinks have a nice heavy feeling. Probably wont work well with big air coolers. Great for all in one closed loop liquid coolers.

No doa
Good overclockers.

Cons: Might be too tall for large air coolers.

Other Thoughts: I like the look, the speed, and the build quality of these sticks.

I wanted a red and black build and these are essential.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram!

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R

Pros: Very fast delivery to my house. Two working days to get to my house. I plugged the extra 16b of ram to my existing 16gb of DDR3 2400MHZ Corsair Ram. My new rig recognized the ram without any problems.
I was gaming and moving a lot faster on COD AW!

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: Customer service is great. If you have any issues with shipping or product they will help you right away.
Satisfied customer for life.

4 out of 5 eggsEverything is great but...

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R

Pros: The speed and Capacity is great for the price. matches my build perfectly. overall it preforms as well as expected.

Cons: Here's where things get interesting, so I got the ram in one day and immediately, everything was working, it posted no problem, I installed windows 8.1 no problem got everything set up as I wanted it. and then everything froze. so I turned it off and the back on, it got stuck it a loop where it would try to post and then nothing, so I start troubleshooting. After about an hour of trying stuff and thinking it was my mobo or cpu as both were new as well, I asked my brother-in-law to test a few parts in his system to see if we could figure the problem out. we finally narrowed it down to the ram. My system would post and also pass a 24 hour performance test without crashing once. so after a few days I finally put this ram kit back in my build and it happens again(the longest it would last is about 4 hours before crashing) so I start to take it out and figure I would try just running just one stick of this ram. now it works perfectly fine. its been on and working for over a week now. So it must have been that one of the sticks came to me DOA, or mostly unusable. the other one is working fine though.

Other Thoughts: Overall everything is great about it. I just happened to get a faulty stick that was mostly DOA, the other stick works perfectly fine though. I would recommend this to anyone in the market, and I plan on buying another kit soon.

5 out of 5 eggsLove the memory

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R

Pros: Fast and works great in my board.
I needed lots of memory for virtuals, gaming and 32GB of these is perfect.
Matches my ASUS Hero VII perfectly.

Cons: Did not include an Iron Man suit.

5 out of 5 eggsfast but with problems

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R

Pros: fast speed, nice heat sinks, nice over all build.

Cons: kept random crashing and restarting system. Turns out of testing and installing in another system, my old one. could hold stable. running at 2400 mhz. on ether board. thought it was the power supply with old system setup, thought it was video, thought it was a issue with Operating system, done and tryed everything i could think of, even pulled them out and re installed them back in to the sockets. and yet again, same thing happening. figured it a bad ship. sending back to Newegg for refund.
And i have been building systems for the last 10 years.
and this must be my worest year todate with issue, on memory chips morth boards, CPU`s, and SSD`s .. full static ground bench work area. covered with plastic counter top. and they went bad after about a month. sad great brand too ..

Other Thoughts: not worth time or effort for my part.
Should of gone back to Gskill .. but last chip set i had went bad with a bad stick .. this one dont have a clue as to why they are acting up ..

my system builds are NEVER over clocked, only stress tested and then left stock, from build to using ..

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic!

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R

Pros: Runs as advertised. Just make sure to enable XMP in your BIOS, or set your RAM up manually. I made sure to test the RAM before using my system, no errors or issues. Corsair has never let me down when it comes to the quality of their products.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Corsair stands behind their products. I would rather spend a little extra, and know that if anything should go wrong, that I will be taken care of.

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair top of the line

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R

Pros: when it comes to memory, dont look any place else, go with Corsair. all the chips are tested un-like other company's say they are.
these chips are right out of the box and work awesome,
i had purchased Gskill chips in the past and on my last order that i had to return for RMA/refund. got these chips on the account of didnt want to take a chance of getting another set of bad chips. and wanted something more reliable so i went with Corsair, to fit my build more. i would of stayed with Gskill but after issue`s with bad chips on my last ones. didnt want the problems coming back again ..

Cons: there is none to talk about ..

Other Thoughts: wish the blue colored chips was this price and wish there was a rebate.

5 out of 5 eggsFast RAM with Good Looks

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R

Pros: Runs stable at the rated speed
Fastest RAM I've ever owned, makes the system very snappy
Plenty of capacity in the 8GBx2 kit, I've never gone above 50% usage
The heat spreader looks great

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Be sure to enable XMP mode in your BIOS or else your RAM will default to 1333Mhz! I'm sure you could overclock these modules very easily but I have no reason to so I have no experience there. I bought this kit for about $150 during the summer, seems like the price got jacked up again. Perhaps there are better deals available right now from different brands, but I have nothing but good things to say about this kit so you really can't go wrong here.
