More memory for more processing power

If you're a serious road warrior or you use your notebook for heavy-duty applications like photo and video editing, your notebook should have as much memory as possible. Adding a 4GB, 8GB or 16GB laptop memory upgrade kit will allow you to multitask between more programs at once and load and edit larger files without having to wait for data to buffer to the drive.

1.35V for better operation with the latest systems

The latest laptop and notebook systems based on 4th Generation Intel Core processors require DDR3L memory powered at 1.35V. Vengeance 1.35V DDR3L SODIMM kits are compatible with the new 4th generation family of processors, and are backward compatible with 2nd and 3rd generation processors.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst time Corsair customer

Pros: This is my first time using any Corsair product. Did an Intel burn test yesterday at Maximum and it passed with flying colors. Haven't noticed much change in performance, mainly because most games I play are 5 years old and older.

Cons: Memory didn't come with heat shields. The pictures of the memory sticks looks as if they do come with heat shields. They are only stickers.

Other Thoughts: My first set of gaming RAM was Kingston Hyper X for my last gaming laptop I had. Those really improved performance dramatically but, those were 2x 4GB compared to what I have now 4x 4GB. Only wished these Corsair Vengeance came with heat shields like the Hyper X did from my previous PC.

5 out of 5 eggsThanks for the memories

Pros: Great memory for the price. Works flawlessly in my Toughbook CF-31

Cons: Had to upgrade to 64 bit Windows for it to see the whole 8 gig. Not really a con because I already knew that!

Other Thoughts: Newwegg rocks the shipping world!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Laptop Memoy Upgrade

Pros: Bought this to upgrade my new HP Pavilion 17-e112dx with Intel Core i3-3130M running Win 8.1 OEM 4GB single channel memory to 8GB dual channel memory. Installed & recognized with NO problems.. Major improvement to speed. Have always had excellent results with Corsair memory.

Cons: None to date.

Other Thoughts: A few comments for reference. Windows Experience Index showed these improvements - Memory Operations/Sec Increased from 5.9 to 7.7, Desktop Graphics Increased from 4.8 to 5.7. The scan time of Malwarebytes Decreased from 13 1/2 min to 9 1/2 minutes - a major improvement. In addition my Virus Scan time decreased substantially.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter performance, no problems

Pros: Installed in an AMD A6-4400M based laptop easily, auto-configured, no problems. The system feels a bit snappier, but it's so bogged down by the slow HDD that it's hard to tell.

Cons: DRAM has gotten expensive since the China fire.

Other Thoughts: These replaced a single DDR3-1333 SODIMM with these two DDR3L-1600 SODIMMS. This brought the system from a single-channel 1333 configuration to dual-channel 1600.

Windows Experience Index jumped the RAM from 5.9 to 7.2, Graphics jumped from 5.7 to 6.6. Gaming graphics got a modest bump from 6.5 to 6.6. Processor and HDD stayed the same at 5.5 and 5.9, respectively.
