5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Flash Drive

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager GO 32GB USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive Model CMFVG-32GB-NA

Pros: Tiny
Fast
Super portable
Dual purpose (Computer and Android)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Wow this thing is tiny! I knew it was small going into the purchase, but I didn't think it was as small as it was. Right now I utilize this in my FORD Sync car audio system and it does a fantastic job. The USB 3 speeds are great to be able to quickly upload files to the drive.

I've only plugged it into my phone twice, but it was instantly detected by my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active and I was able to browse the drive and play content straight from it. It really is a neat little device that works exactly as advertised.

2 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager GO 32GB USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive Model CMFVG-32GB-NA

Pros: Concecpt

Cons: Campatibility is an issue. Plug and Play not accurate. Many Android devices do not work with the mini connection.

Other Thoughts: Description is vague - Check the mfg website to see if you device is compatible. My Droid RAXR MAXX was not.

5 out of 5 eggsUSB 'N Stuff

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager GO 32GB USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive Model CMFVG-32GB-NA

Pros: 3.0, does it's job, conveniently small.

Cons: Not one, but if I had to say probably the size, I do misplace it from time to time.

Other Thoughts: Overall worth it, does its job, does it well, worth the price.

3 out of 5 eggsUltra-compact with great read performance, okay write performance.

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager GO 32GB USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive Model CMFVG-32GB-NA

Pros: The primary feature most striking is the compact size. It would be incredibly difficult to make the form factor any smaller without compromising either the micro-USB or USB 3.0 connections. It is tiny.

The second best feature is the read performance. Using USB 3.0, the flash drive can serve up ~120 MB/s consistently making it very useful for storing video to share between devices. However, getting gigabytes onto the flash drive is another story, see below, prepare to hurry up and wait.

Cons: Okay, the bottom here is write performance is beleaguered in the 20 MB/s range. For a USB 3.0 flash drive, this could be greatly improved upon for $30. It's this combination of lackluster write performance that leads me to conclude that the price is all about size and little to do with substance, which is disappointing.

Other Thoughts: While the compact size is nice, I couldn't really find an application that requires a stick this compact -- with the exception of trying to be discreet hanging off a tablet. Of course, that's the intended usage. That said, in almost all other cases, I would have gladly traded size for better write performance.

Also, I intentionally used this device for over a month straight to ensure it continued operating optimally. If you've ever had flash drives that were DOA or trashed after a few weeks -- you can relate to this. I didn't expect any issues being a Corsair product, and there weren't any in the reliability department.

4 out of 5 eggsgood, cheap 32giger

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager GO 32GB USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive Model CMFVG-32GB-NA

Pros: has a micro-usb connection and a usb 3.0/2.0 connection. i have no use currently for the micro, but is a wonderful feature to have.

cheap for 32GB

Cons: VERY small. i can't believe how tiny this thing is. will definitely lose it if you're not careful. the 3.0 side does not have any type of cover. not really a con, but if something were to get in there it could harm the device.

Other Thoughts: the usb 3.0 side is a female end and not a male end. i've never seen one like this before, but it fit perfectly and works fine.

3 out of 5 eggsBe sure to read the description

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager GO 32GB USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive Model CMFVG-32GB-NA

Pros: Don't know -- I don't have a compatible Android device

Cons: Online description was not clear. Perhaps it should have put in big red letters. THIS IS NOT A REGULAR USB FLASH DRIVE!

Other Thoughts: OK, my wife says I'm blind, and she's probably right. I did not read the description carefully and ordered two of these drives thinking I was getting normal flash drives. So I received them today, and they are not even useful on my Android Kindle fire, let alone my PC or other normal USB devices. So the warning is to read item descriptions carefully!

4 out of 5 eggsMore than I expected

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager GO 32GB USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive Model CMFVG-32GB-NA

Pros: At first I thought all OTG drives to be really stupid. I make sure all my Android devices can take a microSD card and I have a NAS that streams everything I need. But I was wrong and these drives have a purpose.

First off this drive is REALLY small!. It has the thickness of the male USB-A tip. Has a cap that covers the smaller micro USB tip.

Speeds are really good over USB2.0 (face it, tablets and smart phones aren't going to transfer data very quick) with write speeds around 20MBps and read speeds of up to 30MBps.

What has sold me on this drive for OTG use is backups. I was able to create a backup of my Nexus 7 2012 (The wife's) in TWRP recovery in record time with hash generation enabled. This will be very helpful for when I work on family devices where I don't want to remove the SD card or if there is only internal storage.

Played an MP4 movie in HD with no hiccups on my CDMA Galaxy SIII. Also my old white Xbox 360 recognized it and was able to use it to install games.

Cons: The only con I can come up with is that the plastic feels VERY brittle! Something of this size, and for its purpose of sticking out of mobile devices, would warrant aluminum construction. Even if it meant adding a little bulk for insulation.

Other Thoughts: Not bad. Good performance and can be used from a tablet to an Xbox, and everything in between.
