This review is from: Corsair Flash Voyager GTX USB 3.0 256 GB, Zinc Alloy Casing, Read 450 MBs - Write 350 MBs, Plug and Play (CMFVYGTX3B-256GB)
Pros: Very nice. Solid design and construction. Very fast.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Got this to replace a Sandisk Extreme Pro 128 GB because I needed more space. This drive is definitely in the same class as the Sandisk Extreme Pro in terms of quality, design and performance.
Excellent service from newegg.

Rating: 5/5Super Fast, Sturdy, get warm, decent price, lots of storage, very cool, premium device
This review is from: Corsair Flash Voyager GTX USB 3.0 256 GB, Zinc Alloy Casing, Read 450 MBs - Write 350 MBs, Plug and Play (CMFVYGTX3B-256GB)
Pros: Super Fast Heavy and Sturdy (not cheap plastic), I think the metal is also a heat sink 256 GBs is a lot for a stick at this time
Cons: It has a detachable, easily lose-able, cap. This is really something I can't believe we still have to deal with. (I cut and paste this from a previous review. Why retype it. This is an issue.) Gets WARM fast. Kind if fat so if you have two USB ports side-by-side. Too bad without an extender.
Other Thoughts: - I bought two and I am happy I did - Reasonable price point - I would recommend this - The cons don't warrant me taking away an egg because I really love this device
This review is from: Corsair Flash Voyager GTX USB 3.0 256 GB, Zinc Alloy Casing, Read 450 MBs - Write 350 MBs, Plug and Play (CMFVYGTX3B-256GB)
Pros: As advertised, it is extremely fast, particularly with large files. Large capacity, though for the price, you'd expect at least this much. I never did see anything approaching the advertised speeds, but nevertheless, seeing 200MB/sec reads and 188MB/sec writes is rather impressive. Perhaps it was having other USB 3.0 devices plugged in or even the speed of my SATA SSD that capped the throughput? Still, the fastest transfers that I've ever seen across USB.
Cons: Died after about two weeks of usage. Suddenly refused to be recognized by my laptop. Then after another hour or so of use on my desktop, it not only wouldn't be recognized, it wouldn't even light up. Totally dead. Windows 8.1 wouldn't even complain about an unknown device or device not working properly.
I used the lanyard hole at the end to put the drive on a key organizer quick release type of thing to go along with another flash drive, a Yubikey, and a Leatherman Squirt. The black paint started to flake off within the first 10 minutes. If looks matter to you, don't even think of putting this on some sort of keychain.
It has a detachable, easily losable, cap. This is really something I can't believe we still have to deal with. Thankfully I didn't lose mine before it went belly up and had to return it.
Other Thoughts: This thing is simply massive and very heavy for a USB flash drive. Depending upon USB port location, you may need to use a USB 3.0 extension cable because it hogs up space in every direction. It's actually heavy enough that I felt more comfortable using the extension cable even if it would fit without one because the weight of it seemed to be causing undue strain on the USB port.
The drive gets "warm". Not quite hot, but noticeably warm. I get the feeling that the metal case is supposed to act a heat sink.
It was great for the short time it worked, but I really don't want to risk another one of these going bad on me. I've read enough other anecdotal stories on Corsair's own support forums of just this very thing happening to others. Until they can sort out these issues, I'm going to have to look at other solutions.

Pros: Still all the same great things I mentioned in my last review
Cons: The only thing I wanted to add to this is this, this does not have a durable finish at all. I put it on a key chain and the paint is already coming off just from being in my pocket with keys.
Other Thoughts: If I were Corsair I would consider anodizing the casing for this product. At this price point there should not be such a flaky finish.
Won't remove an egg for it, but I thought it was something to consider.

Pros: - Sturdy, heavy metal casing. - Cap stays on (heavy rubber fills inside the cap, snuggling the connector). - Fastest flash drive out there right now.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: If the cap had a small loop or hole I could attach the cap to the body and never have to worry about forgetting the cap.

Pros: Rugged, Built solid, Read /Write speeds are good. Don't know if I would go as far as to say that it is blinding fast but its really good. "Right clicking" in properties gives you some performance enhancements which makes a slight difference. (For Windows operating systems) I gig per second? Not quite.. If you need a good 3.0 stick then this is a good one.
Cons: None really..
Other Thoughts: I don't have other brands to compare to but this one seems to do the job well. I was expecting faster but then again its not a SSD. Go ahead and get one.. You will like it..
