3 out of 5 eggsGood enough

Pros: Decent flash drive. The LED can be a bit annoying

Cons: I've used dozens of them. Both of the 2GB one, and the 1GB one as part of school. All students were assigned them.
After extended use, the slider that pulls the memory stick in/out of the red bit wears down, making it push itself in when you try to insert it in a computer. At that point, it is impossible to insert it without holding down the white tab while you insert it.

On other times, there is a lot of friction and it is sometimes difficult to extend the memory from the red case.

Flash drive is a bit fat, meaning you won't fit two together without both usb sticks being at a small angle. Would be impossible to fit three together.

Other Thoughts: For a flash drive, it is decent enough.
Better to spend $5-10 more on an 8 or 16GB drive. 1 and 2GB drives are getting old, fast.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Works well. Slide in/out design is one of the better ones I've seen, it actually protects the stick and is functional.

Cons: If you have an issue when using the stick for the first time and run into formatting issues where you either can't format it or are forced to format at 1mb capacity, follow these steps given to me by Verbatim customer support (which was very helpful):
To resolve this issue, please try the following steps.
Step 1: Download the V-safe software from the following link :-
http://www.verbatim.com/index/support.php?lang_id=1&cat=14&action=supportite
ms&pid=5451
Step 2: Launch the V-safe software>Type in a password and verify the
password.
Step 3: Drag the slider beside the Drive picture to the bottom and click on
OK.
Step 4: It will prompt you to format the drive(note#:FORMATTING will erase
all the data on the Verbatim Flash drive)
Step 5: Once the format is complete, the drive will show up with one private
partition.
Once this is done, close all the windows,Relaunch the V-SAFE 100 application
and follow these steps.
<<CONTINUED BELOW in Other Thoughts>>

Other Thoughts: Step 1:Click on settings>>select Format
Step 2:Drag the slider beside the drive picture to the very top and click
on OK.
Step 3:It will prompt you to format the drive(note#:FORMATTING will erase
all the data on the Verbatim Flash drive)
Step 4:Once the format is complete, the drive will show up with one public
partition.
The drive will show up on the computer with the whole 2 gb capacity.

5 out of 5 eggssweet!

Pros: -Attractive red color
-Integrated keyring
-Slide-out design (no cap) feels firm and durable
-Simple password protection for privacy

Cons: -Blue light makes it a little too "USA!" for me
-Plastic case/keyring

Other Thoughts: The password protection is probably very low-grade, BUT it is good for adding a little privacy. The feature seems well-executed in my tests on Win7 and XPPro. It also allows for a password "Hint" field that you can fill with "Property of Me, call me at ###-###-#### for a reward" or somesuch - making it more likely that a lost drive will be returned and that a non-techie will not have accessed your data.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Price is right, I use them for booting diagnostic tools (UBCD, UBCD4Win, BootItNG, Ubuntu Live) and the Verbatim seems to hold up well after multiple formats and re-installation a various types of software and files. I tried the cheap Sandisk usb flash drives from Walmart, and they overheated and died with too much use. These have held up well.

Cons: I wish they sold 512 mb and 1 g versions. 2 g is too much for just a few programs.
