Installed, turned on and got nothing, just a power light. Put old memory back in, worked just fine. PNY's web site said it was the correct memory for my laptop but did not work. Picked this up hoping it could run Vista for me without Aero and it's done extremely well. Laptop now runs great for simple tasks like e-mail and internet surfing. Cons: None. Cons: I bought 2 of the memory sticks for my dell laptop and only one of them worked properly. I am currently in the process fo buying another one because it is cheaper than sending it back in for my money back. Other Thoughts: I had to first find out which one was faulty. The memory brought new life into my girlfriend's old dell laptop Cons: one of the two chips I ordered was fried, it caused POST errors on boot. After checking with mem x86 the memory was found to be fried. Shipping it back is costing me nearly as much as it cost for the memory itself. Hopefully the new chip will work flawlessly.
