2 out of 5 eggsVery Sloooooow

Pros: Fits great on a keychain.

Cons: This is the slowest flash drive I've ever bought. The write speed on my old Kingston DT108 (also a 16GB USB2 drive) is almost 3 times faster than this.

I've tested this a few times for comparison, in the same system and port, and it scores Crystal DiskMark write speeds down to 2MB/s sometimes.

Other Thoughts: I'm usually happy with "ok" hardware, I have realistic expectations. But I feel a bit ripped of with this. They've done something in its design for cheapness sake, and palmed off a ridiculously slow drive in the bargain.

2 out of 5 eggsDare I say Over Rated

Pros: They work. Tiny size might be considered a plus for some uses. Cheap

Cons: The cases are flimsy and come apart. After some glue and a few months use they break. Extremely thin plastic that becomes brittle. I bought two of these. Both had the same issues.

Other Thoughts: If your not going to be plugging this in and out of a port a lot they're fine. They're tiny, for me that meant they were hard to find in my brief case or desk drawer.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little item

Pros: This is a great little flash drive. And little is the right word. It is considerably smaller than the keys on my key ring, which is where it stays. There is a lot to like about this drive:
First, it's all metal, which means I can drop it in my pocket and not have to worry that it will break, like I would about a plastic one.
Second it has a large enough ring to fit on a key ring, which solves one of the most frequent problems with flash drives, they get LOST!
Third, there is no cap to keep track of. I hate caps on flash drives. It's just another thing to lose.
Fourth, it works reliably. I have not had any problems transporting files back and forth to work over the course of six months.
Definitely would buy this model again, except I won't have to, because I won't lose it.

Cons: None that I see yet

5 out of 5 eggsThe best flash drive

Pros: This is the best flash drive I've ever had. The design is phenomenal - no caps to lose, and has built-in hole to be secured in a keychain. Works as advertised. I'm using this to carry Windows 7 install-disk always handy, and it's saved my life plenty of times already.

Cons: None

2 out of 5 eggsVery slow write speed.

Pros: Ok read, I guess.

Cons: Very slow write speed. 5MB sec.

Other Thoughts: Got it to use for mp3s for car. So speed isnt *THAT* important.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi, I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support. Please understand that this drive is not considered a performance drive and would not be suited for one looking for high transfer speeds. If you do have a speed requirement and are in need of a performance usb drive, please consider our DTR30 or DTE30. These drives and our other products may be found here: www.newegg.com/Kingston-Technology-Corp/BrandStore/ID-1183 . Feel free to contact us for any other questions/concerns on this or anyone of our other products. Please call us at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) M - F 6am - 6pm PT and I or another available Technician will assist you.

2 out of 5 eggsS L O W

Pros: Seems durable. Good value if you only consider mB/$

Cons: Have this formatted fat32 and this has half the speed of my 2 gig flash drive that is 5 years old. This does about 5.5 mB/s. It was shocked at how poor its performance is.

Also sucks that it has no activation led to let you know when its done writing or is being accessed.

Other Thoughts: Look elsewhere. This thing kind of sucks.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi, I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support. Please understand the DTSE9H is not considered a performance drive and would not be suited for one looking for performance transfer speeds. If you are looking for high performance transfer speeds the DTE30 or DTR30 would be better suited products. 1 out of 5 eggsDon't bother....

Pros: Cheap, sturdy.

Cons: Too slow to use! (And I have a newer computer). I bought three and would return them all if I could. I'm copying 3.5 GB right now and have 50 minutes left!

Complete junk and a waste on money.

Other Thoughts: No wonder they were cheap.....

3 out of 5 eggsOK, but . . .

Pros: This is a physically small USB drive with pretty decent storage at 16GB. The entire drive is about 1 1/2" long x 1/2" wide x 1/8" thick. It weighs next to nothing.

Cons: This is a physically small USB drive. It gets lost in a pocket or laptop carry bag. The USB connector is recessed and doesn't have the usual silver extension that sticks out from the flash drive body. Obviously, this is how the overall length can be kept to 1 1/2". Since the connector is recessed, there's no dust cover and any lint in your pocket or bag can quickly clog up the connector making it inoperable.

Other Thoughts: Might not be a bad idea to fashion some kind of protective cover for the connector end.

5 out of 5 eggsInexpensive Good Flash Drive

Pros: Cheap. I paid $8.99 out of pocket. Works perfectly. I didn't benchmark it, but it seems fast. Drive is very tiny. My expectations were exceeded for a drive this inexpensive.

Cons: Wasn't free. Is only 16GB.
