5 out of 5 eggsVery respectable speed, reliability

Pros: Silent (of course, but coming from a hard drive it's still really cool), and very fast. I haven't had a problem installing any OS on it or anything, good for the money especially

Cons: Not Free

Other Thoughts: Used this to install on my wife's laptop running a common Linux distro. Its clock speed is <2.0 GHz and it boots up and logs on in less than 25 seconds.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Drives

Pros: Great warrenty and customer service
Reliable drives that last years
Easily recognized by Bios and flawless fast setups (my experiences)

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I have been buying Kingston drives since they 1st came out and became resonably priced (4 yrs or so). I have 4 V-series drives in various machines- 3 64gb and 1-120gb, and 2- Hyper X 120's running in Raid 0 with an I7 (Stupid Fast!!).The only problem I have had is that 1 64gb would not format and no matter what I did I could not clear the data off of it to use in another build and reinstall windows. I tried every possible way I could think of and every relevant procedures that I found on the net- no go. I figured the drive was too old to be warrantied but I thought I would try anyway, so I called the tech line for some help, told them what was going on, tried a few suggestions (tech waited on phone!), again to no avail. The tech transfered me to returns and within a minute I was talking with another guy who processed my return- NO questions asked besides if I had an Invoice #. I told him it has been 3 yrs almost to the day and I had no record. He said he would allow the return for one time. While I was talking to hoim I was looking up my history on New Egg only to find out that the history goes back 3 years!! Awesome-Way go New Egg! I found the invoice (2 yrs 11 mos and 22 days!) and got the # to the kingston rep and that saved my 1 time grace "no problem" replacement. They sent me a mail with the RMA and address and said as soon as they recieve the old drive they will replace it and express mail the new one back too me. It is a new 60gb drive (they are giving 4gb free space for better trim support). I commend the people manning the phones at Kingston Support and New Egg for their keeping record history!

5 out of 5 eggsGood value

Pros: Good price. Decent performance. Reliable so far.

Cons: No cable or mounting parts included.

Other Thoughts: I have bought about 30 of these since they came out for new PC builds. No problems so far. Use them for business PC's where documents are retained on the Network so capacity is not important.

1 out of 5 eggsNot even a good doorstop

Pros: Cheap--- bought at "Staples" (not unfortunately, from NewEgg). (Staples return policy for electronics, btw, is "out the door and good luck"!)

Cons: Not heavy enough for a doorstop-- and not good enough for a SSD hard drive.
Please don't waste your dollars on a Kingston drive-you'll most likely regret it!!

Other Thoughts: My first unit, when installed, had the plastic tabs on both the SATA and the Power cable slots break when the cables were plugged in. After playing "who's got the soap" with Kingston, they finally agreed to replace the faulty unit-----that one lasted a WHOLE month!!!before just deciding to "drop dead" (with, of course, all the data still on it).

4 out of 5 eggsGood value drive

Pros: Great price/GB for an SSD. Excellent transfer rates for the price.

Cons: Not as fast as other drives, but you get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: If you believe other reviewers it might die on you, but I run frequent backups so I'm not stressed about it.

5 out of 5 eggsKingston Has Service You Can Count On!!

Pros: This SSD is a replacement for the SATA II Boot drive I purchased just about three years ago from New Egg. The old one bricked suddenly without warning but I didn't lose any data. I requested an RMA that night and got a response asking for more info. I didn't have a receipt but Kinston sent me an RMA approval and I shipped the bad drive that afternoon. Two days later they shipped me a replacement and it was a SATAIII as a courtesy. I couldn't even wish for better service. Kingston is a first class act. And to be honest the old unit lasted almost 3 years 24/7.

Cons: It is interesting to note that when you look at the feedback here at New Egg you get the idea that bigger and faster SSD performance is coveted. In actuality at the speed that the present SSD's perform I am convinced that the service beyond the sale is probably the most important consideration. Kingston has shown superior metal.

I have dealt with Microsoft since 1982 and I can tell you that I found that they have always said that the issue I was asking for assistance with was my fault. Microsoft doesn't write bad code! Just like they didn't write Windows ME. LOL

Thanks Kingston and New Egg! Have another wonderful day in America.
