2 out of 5 eggsGreat while it worked.

Pros: Petty fast boot times and great for loading games etc.

Cons: Died today after months of random sketchy "insert boot devices" messages. Once this drive gets to about 80% capacity it starts to fail. (perhaps all ssd's do) I had to format and re-install at 80% capacity several times due to drive failure at near full capacity. Perhaps a full wipe and install wasn't necessary but it was my preference to keep it simple.

Other Thoughts: I'm really happy with the performance upgrades an ssd adds. I'm definitely going to buy another one, but most likely not a low end budget Kingston again.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support and would like to offer our assistance. We stand by all of our products and can replace the drive under it's three year warranty. There is also a firmware update available for this drive which may apply, found here: http://www.kingston.com/us/support/technical/downloads?product=SVP200S3&filename=VP200_507KC4_win . 5 out of 5 eggsGood Deal

Pros: Great Price at the time. No issues - still running great after over 1 1/2 of constant use. Seems pretty reliable. This is my first SSD and it definitely made my PC boot up and run much faster.

Cons: None that can think of.

2 out of 5 eggsNice paper weight

Pros: It worked for a couple months

Cons: Completely shut off after 3 months. I had set up to make sure all hibernation was off, TRIM enabled, etc. Still I'm assuming panic locked and is now no longer seen in BIOS. Getting RMA but quite disappointed with the lack of lifespan.

5 out of 5 eggsBig Things in Small Packages

Pros: Bought this in a combo for a Christmas present last year. It might only have 120 gb of room, and after Win 7 added on, only a little under 100, but since this was for my mother, she isn't going to be using 100 gigs worth of space. She likes her internet, email, Angry Birds, and her photography. This beast starts Win 7 in just under 10 seconds, fully ready to go.

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggs111gb of usable space

Pros: 7.9/7.9 On windows experience index. Very fast boot.

Cons: after adding the operating system the drive was down to 70gb free space. (windows 7 ultimate)

Other Thoughts: It plays nice with my other harddrive Im able to access it right from this drive. not sure if that has to do with my mobo or what.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper fast awesome SSD

Pros: Super fast
Couldn't believe how small in physical size the drive was.
Completely quiet and cool

Cons: None yet, I've heard SSDs don't last as long as HDDs so I'm waiting.

Other Thoughts: Able to go from off to browsing the internet in about 15 seconds, this drive is amazingly fast.
Pop your OS on it and main programs and get a drive for your documents, files, movies etc and you're golden.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat SSD

Pros: I love this little SSD. Kingston makes great solid-state devices and this small 120GB SSD really performs. I currently use it as the OS in my Vyatta 6.5 R1 (Linux) rackmounted router build

Cons: none.
