4 out of 5 eggsMy first SSD

Pros: Got this Upgrade Bundle @ $10 less that the current advertised price. Got it to install in a brand new HP desk top that I just purchased. Figured why not earley Christmas present to my wife and I. Computer and SSD came the same day. Ran new system for a couple of days and finally got the time to do the install today. Did a full back up of the HDD w/ Acronis TI 2013 and made all the recover media on a flash drive. Disconnected the 1Tb HDD installed the SSD and booted from the flash drive and did a fresh install of Windows 7 Home Premium ran complete install with all updates and did another back up of the SSD and then installed MS Office. Did the windows score of 7.9 w/o doing any tweaking. Before SSD it was around 5.8.

Cons: Did not use the included Acronis software as it was from 2008.
Mounting brackets are kind of cheap, very limited in mounting and could not use both brackets to mount. Only was able to secure 1 side to the HD cage. But not a real problem because this drive is a featherweight compared to the Hitachi 1Tb HDD that came factory installed.

Other Thoughts: This is my first SSD install and if prices drop, I see more SSD's in the future. At less than $1 a Gig is reasonable. Came with connector cables, mounting hardware and a 2.5" enclosure and USB cable. Used this with a spare WD 320 Gb drive as an external storage device. Decided to do a fresh install. Already have ATI 2013 for imaging and backups.
