4 out of 5 eggsFailed after 2 months

Pros: Worked great and was fast.

Cons: Failed after 2 months.

Other Thoughts: Called Kingston and they were able to swap drive with no cost to me since it was with in 90 days. They even sent me a return label. Waiting on new drive hope to have better luck with this one.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat while it lasts...

Pros: Great price, decent design, works well when it does.

Cons: Died within two months with the dreaded "drive is write protected" error. Can't format or fix at all. Had to RMA it. These are apparently quite prone to this error, caveat emptor.

Other Thoughts: I gave it 3 eggs even though it died out so quickly because:

1) Kingston has a solid reputation and they take care of their clients. I had an RMA number within a few days.
2) While it worked, it worked amazingly well. Great speeds.

I'll be shocked if I don't get a replacement from Kingston within 1-2 weeks.

5 out of 5 eggsA very good USB 3.0 flash drive

Pros: Runs fast. Not too hot during data transmission. Very good quality.

Cons: I don't like its design. Could be more simple.

1 out of 5 eggsNot USB 3.0!!!

Pros: None whatsoever.

Cons: Simply put this is a USB 3.0 compliant drive, and not a USB 3.0 drive. This is a rip off, misleading product. Read all the reviews, and you will see. My last Kingston product, for sure.

Other Thoughts: Let the buyer beware, so to speak....

1 out of 5 eggsUSB 3.0 compliant, not 3.0 speeds!

Pros: It was light and small with a secure cap, and it was recognized on two PCs without issue. Smooth RMA process (so far).

Cons: The speeds of this drive were NOT USB 3.0, and their wording is misleading. This is a 3.0 compliant drive, not an actual 3.0 super-speed drive. During benchmarks, it had write speeds of 6-7 MBps and read speeds of 15-17 MBps (using HD Tune). A True USB 3.0 drive should easily be over 40 MBps write and over 100 MBps read, right?

Other Thoughts: Kingston Customer Support was very nice and quick in its response, but it told me to buy a better (faster) flash drive: "Our DT111 is our entry level USB 3.0 complaint drive. It meets 3.0 hardware and interface compliancy. A compliant drive means that it provides reasonable measures of acceptability. USB products that pass this level of acceptability are therefore 3.0 compliant. ... If speed is important you may wish to consider one of our other faster drives." With some digging on their website, the speeds are viewable (this drive says "Standard speeds"), but this info was not forthright and evident: http://media.kingston.com/pdfs/DTFamily_US.pdf

I hope this helps some people. Cheers!

5 out of 5 eggsgood 32gb drive

Pros: Backs up all of my files that I need for the 4 computers we have in the house.

Cons: of course like all flash drives, actual space avalible is around 29gb and not 32gb.

Other Thoughts: Bought this drive when it was $27.99 as a back up to my 16GB Drive which stores all 4 of the households PC system files like essential drivers etc. It also stores all my music, game saves etc. Does its job well.
