1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't Work for my Thinkpad T400

Pros: I got a promotion price at Newegg so I bought two of this.

Cons: This memory module doesn't work for my T400 (7417CTO). There are other Kingston modules sold at Newegg, but I picked this one particular because it was KTL ("Kingston to Lenovo'). However, once I plugged it in I would have 1-3-3-1 beep sounds and I have tried both slots but neither worked for this one, though they still worked with original 2GB Samsung module that came with this laptop. Very disappointed that the KTL line doesn't work for Lenovo laptop, or both modules I got are defective!

Other Thoughts: Also I didn't realize there is limited time frame for returning. I bought 2x this module on Oct 2nd, but didn't get the chance to try it until today (Dec 12th) because I have just moved and set up the new home. When I opened the package today and installed them on the two slots it ended up beeping. I then tried one module on each slot but still the same result. But when I put the original Samsung back it would boot. However I couldn't return it or ask for exchange because I didn't do so within the first month of purchase!

We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with our memory. Please note that your Lenovo T400 came with an Intel Cored 2 Duo processor that does not handle high density memory such as KTL-TP3CL/4G. This memory is not compatible with this model of computer.
