Pros: Good price, good data transfer rates.

Cons: Started taking write errors at 40 days of ownership.

Pros: It looks like Kingston fixed all the problems people had with G1 in their G2 release. Only time will tell if this drive will die or not in the next 6 months, but from what I can tell so far I'm pretty optimistic that this drive will last a long time.

I didn't break out the stopwatch to time data transfer speeds, but with simple Windows copy/paste I got 40+ MB/s write speed and 120+ MB/s read speed. So that's pretty impressive compared to my previous Kingston USB 2.0 drive that I think I've had for 4-5 years.

I like the "ruggedized" material Kingston used here. It's smooth and rubbery like a cell phone protective case. It's not as rugged as some other more expensive models, but this is just right for my needs. I just needed something to survive sitting in a backpack pocket for long periods of time.

Cons: The only con is that i wish the end cap would attach more securely to the back of the drive while it's plugged in. It's so easy to lose caps and it feels like it can pop off or get knocked off pretty easily. That's only a minor concern though, and I can't think of any other cons.
