4 out of 5 eggsI love this thing

Pros: -Can easily move data from camera, cellphone, etc. to computers that don't have cardreaders
-Fairly portable
-Makes my micro SDHC's more versatile, since they can be used in my phone, camera, or as USB flash memory.
-Great price

Cons: -The width of this thing makes it impractical for some USB ports that are set further back into the case. I found this out the hard way trying to transfer files from home to my computer at work. I know it comes with a USB extension cable, which is nice, but I can't give this 5 eggs because needing that cable decreases its portability.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great product, but now I make a mental note on which computers it will fit. I'd hoped that this little reader could replace my drawer full of regular USB flash drives, but it looks like I'll still need them.

1 out of 5 eggsPhooey

Pros: none

Cons: Does not read SD or SDHC. Used a 2GB SD and an 8 Gb SDHC. Both were seens as unformatted and tried all tricks to no avail.

2 out of 5 eggsepic fail

Pros: It worked just how anyone could hope at first. Opens up the SD card just like a flash drive opens up. Much faster than using a cable that comes with a camera to transfer pictures.

Cons: After about 8 months it just decided to stop working out of the blue. I'm always careful with electronics. Aside from occasionally dropping my cell on the ground, I've never damaged any piece of technology or damaged it accidentally, so I'm confident the problem is with the item itself.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for I guess. It's cheap for a reason. However, I would expect it would last at least an entire year. Kind of disappointing.

5 out of 5 eggsSmall Packages

Pros: Got this for my girlfriend. She had one before but gave it to her nephew. Loved it then and she loves the new one. Especially the color.

Cons: Caps

5 out of 5 eggsStill works

Pros: (See previous review) I have had this for several years. Its been through the wash several times, dropped, and beaten serverely. Needless to say, it still works and is possibly the most convenient tool I've carried.

Cons: As I've said before, this does not support Memory Stick media, Its been like 3 years and they have yet to remove that from the description.

Other than that, there are no cons to the product. Its as wide as two thumb drives (aka; Double-Thumbdrive).

Other Thoughts: I lost my back cap the day I bought it, but oh well.

* That USB extension they give you is convenient as an interior USB extension on a tower.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful little device

Pros: Small but sturdy little drive. And I LOVE the little flashing red light :). It even came with an extension cable.

Cons: None except it needs a loop or something to attach a keyring or lanyard. That would be cool.

Other Thoughts: I bought this so I could transfer the photos from my new digital camera. Since having it for a little bit, I know I will use it as a data drive as well.

5 out of 5 eggsbrilliant!

Pros: I bought this in combination with a couple 8gb microSD's with SD adapters. So for a low price, I have versatility to use the memory wherever I need it, and I can easily transfer files between my devices and my computer. The fact that it also ends up being way cheaper than buying the same amount of flash memory as a regular thumb drive is just funny to me.

Cons: The width of the casing prevents me from connecting to the USB ports on some computers (my office uses eMacs, and the design of the USB ports has them set into the side of the computer so there is a plastic ledge blocking me from connecting). It's not really a huge problem, and if I really wanted to I could fix it with a USB extension cable.

Other Thoughts: It's a nice, cheap, portable card reader. If you don't need a huge, fancy, I-can-do-everything reader and you want the portability, this is perfect.

4 out of 5 eggsgood, inexpensive

Pros: inexpensive, simple, comes with a USB extension cable

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: construction isn't completely flimsy but I wouldn't stress it too much (in other words don't step on it); caps on both ends might seem like a good idea but I doubt they're around much if you use this thing frequently;

2 out of 5 eggsGreat...in the beginning.

Pros: Small size - able to fit in pocket, bookbag, briefcase without a hassle.
Ease of use - plug and play

Cons: Does not work after a couple of months.

Other Thoughts: Initially, I was pleased with the ease of use and small size of the device. However, after approximately 2-3 months, the reliability of the reader declined drastically. I use the device frequently (my car radio uses SD cards) so the reliability is a must! By the 4th month, the device worked sparingly. I constantly received I/O errors. Invest a couple more dollars in a more reliable card reader.
