Pros: Instant setup, works perfectly as far as I can tell, reads xD chips which was a factor in the purchase, nice design, sleek, small. It sure makes working with different chips more convenient. Oh, yeh it's very fast on the 3.0 bus.

Cons: None I can really think of.

Other Thoughts: These used to be a big box on the front of your machine sucking in dust. Now it's clean, petite, portable, and really hard to beat. Make sure you insert the chips with the pins oriented correctly. I don't think you could but you could try. I like SIIG products, have used them over the years on many systems. They are still one of the best companies for hard to find, good quality add-on cards. Nice job on this one!

Pros: Works well and is very fast when using it on a USB 3.0 port. Works equally well on a USB2.0 port.

Cons: The enclosure is very "plastic" and flimsy. I've only used this with SD cards and they are fairly difficult to insert - they don't always go in straight - you have to work at it.

Other Thoughts: If size and many card types isn't a consideration (only using SD), I would prefer the Lexar reader. I am using this one at work for very occasional use - glad I have the Lexar reader at home.

Pros: Works with a variety of cards, transfers pictures fast, recognized by Windows easily.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have not tried this device in Linux, so I cannot comment on that.

Pros: Very fast USB 3 card reader.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Plug n Play. It just reads it all no issues. I have this plugged into the motherboard internal 19 pin header with an adapter so I could use it on my desk. Works perfect. I needed something that read XD cards as I have an Olympus camera.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: I had originally bought a Silverstone FP56 because it was a bay device and had 3 USB 3.0 ports and a charging port on it as well but that was a disaster. I would send power back to the MB and fans would spin when computer was off.

This unit is just a reader and does it very well. I am very happy with it. It is small and takes no room on my desk. The cable is long so reaching where you need it to sit is just perfect. Get one.

Pros: When hooked up via USB 3.0 on Windows 7 was great fast reader flawless.

Cons: After I upgraded to Windows 8 Pro it works but will no longer read CF cards but will read SD cards so have to connect through USB 2.0 now

Other Thoughts: If you are using win7 or USB 2.0 all good don't upgrade to win 8 if you want to use it with USB 3.0
