Samuel C. 3/5/2012 8:29:03 AM Ownership: 4/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 2/5Poor design This review is from: IOGEAR GFR210 50-in-1 USB 2.0 Portable Card Reader Pros: It worked (at first) Cons: Because of the way the cord folds over at the point of connection to slot into the bottom of the unit, there is a lot of wear on the wires over time. After only about 2 months of use, the cord started to come out. Now the card reader won't work at all unless it is held up in a very specific way. It is simply designed poorly. My advise is if you buy this reader, don't use this feature, just leave the cord loose when you are done with it. Unfortunately, this unit is super slow to download files. It is about 5-10X slower than my other card reader and makes me want to return it, although for 12 bucks it might not be worth the effort to do so. Other Thoughts: I have at least four external card readers of various sorts lying around, all apparently dead. But on a flash of inspiration I simply trimmed the insulation on a mini-USB cable back allowing it to seat deeper and now all those card readers work just fine.
