Cons: USB 3.0 doesn't work for me, rendering the whole appeal of this drive rather hollow. Other Thoughts: You're taking a risk buying this flash drive with it's inconsistant read/write speeds and dodgy USB 3.0 functionality. Unfortunately my flash drive doesn't work on any USB 3.0 slot within any machine I plug it into...very disappointing since that was the ONLY reason i wanted this. To top it off the USB 2.0 speeds are incredibly slow. It's taking me almost an hour just to transfer a mere 2.5 GBs of data onto it. I should probably exchange this but I don't think it's worth my wasting my time over...rating it 3 out of 5 since I got it on sale and don't feel completely ripped off due to it's large capacity. Getting 110 MB read, 60-70 writes on large sequential transfer. Did not test random. I tested under Linux using EXT3 and HFS+ on OSX. Good price performance ratio. Cons: shoddy plastic materials. Very thick and long. Will interfere with other USB ports. For example, it blocked my USB ports on my Macbook. Other Thoughts: I've bought dozens of USB 3.0 sticks and this so far has matched the 100/70 MB/sec claim. I have bunch of SSDs I use as portable USB3 drives so I didn't want to spend $120-200 for a faster USB stick. The price was just right to experiment with. I was pleasantly suprise.
