Cons: Doesn't always fit properly is some of my more worn USB ports. I had to gingerly adjust it to make it connect securely. The included chain gets in the way when the drive is stuck to a metal surface. I had to take the chain out of the loop when I wanted it to stick to my computer tower's chassis. Other Thoughts: The embedded magnet makes it possible to 'hide' this little drive in all kinds of places or just attach it to the computer's (metal) chassis so that it can always be found. b1acksn0w 1/23/2013 10:57:36 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 1/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 3/5What I needed Pros: Size 8 GB for such a small drive :O Cons: Too small to stay in place of USB Port (Size) Very Slow Speeds (~800 KBps compared to the theoretical 2 MBps it could be getting) Other Thoughts: For my purposes, this drive is perfect, i installed freeNas on it for a cheap server made of spare parts and the drive will remain stationary. Otherwise in my opinion the drive is small (as in too small to stay in place of the port) which would be a huge problem if i were to use it as an everyday flash drive. It is a hassle to get the the pins in my NAS to connect to the pins on the drive Also although speed is not necessarily what i would look for in a portable flash drive, the speed of this device is dreadful. It is advertised as a USB 2.0 Device, which speeds can reach approx. 2 Megabytes per second, and this USB drive is slower than a USB 1.0 Bus . This drive runs as approx. 0.8 Megabytes per second. Moral of the story, if you need speed or are impatient when it comes to transfer times, DON'T BUY THIS DRIVE. It takes about 8 minutes for my NAS to boot, but since it will forever be powered on, that doesn't even matter to me, overall it satisfies my needs, but i see too many flaws in it, so to be fair i would give it a 2 1/2 egg rating if i could. I bought this thumb drive to reinstall OS-X Mountain Lion on my Mac Mini and my MacBook Pro if required so it won't get used much, only in the event of an SSD upgrade. After all we all know that Macs don't suffer from the stability and corruption problems that PCs do. Cons: So small I lost it a couple of times the first couple of weeks I owned it. I fixed that by putting it on a dedicated physical keychain with the rest of my Windows and Ubuntu install thumb drives. Other Thoughts: After losing it I found it in the pocket of the last pair of shorts I had worn, meaning it had gone through the washer and dryer before I found it. The pin design is great, better than the usual pin shapes. 8gb for less than an inch of size makes it really portable to carry around many files. Magnet is fun to use to attach to things too.
