3 out of 5 eggsSpeed problems?

Pros: Cheap, lifetime warranty

Cons: For those of you having problems running at a lower speed...it may be that the problem is actually that these are high density chips (4 to a side) rather than low density (8 to a side) and that a BIOS update would fix your problem. (if available).

Other Thoughts: These will definitely not work on older laptops due to a low/high density issue. Check with your computer manufacturer before purchasing.

1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work

Pros: None

Cons: As the previous reviewer said, the memory doesn't work in a computer running at lower than 1600 MHz. I had two Dells P07t and the the memory failed in both computers. MemTest86 crashes and the included Dell diagnostics reboots within a few seconds of starting the memory test. Avoid!

Other Thoughts: I ordered Team brand similar 8GB memory and it worked like a charm. Return was painless.

1 out of 5 eggsBeware if you need to clock down

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Most memory has no problems running at a lower speed, in cases where it needs to do so because of MB, CPU or other memory, or just for testing purposes. While this worked in a system that ran it at full speed, it failed catastrophically (crashed MemTest86 in under 3 seconds) when clocked down to less than full speed (1066 instead of 1600; other 1600 mem tested in the same system works fine at 1066).

Other Thoughts: It may be an issue with the timings it requests when running at a lower speed, but few notebook BIOSs allow manual memory timing changes.
