The Silicon Power Xpower is designed to meet the requirements of PC enthusiasts. DDR3 memory offers faster speeds, lower latencies, higher data bandwidths and lower power consumption than DDR2.
This dual-channel kit is Intel XMP-Certified, and runs at a latency timing of 11-12-11-30 at 1.65V operating voltage on dual-channel platforms.
This review is from: Silicon Power Xpower 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model SP016GXLYU213NDA
Pros: I bought 32gig of this after running through the jungle one day. I couldn't pass up the price. We'll just say it wasn't even one-eighty for all 32gig... These will run at the advertised latency but they will also run at 2400 by changing the timings to the default Silicon Power 2400 timings. I actually just leave these running at 1866 for my FX8350 since it's not an OC for it.
Cons: Not a con but the color isn't my favorite but again the fact that they work for the price I bought them I'm not complaining. I knew what I was buying when I bought these but I'm also not a fan of the 1.65v but they work so I can't complain.
Other Thoughts: I actually bought these now to future proof myself for FM2+ when AMD releases more of a selection of of APU. Hopefully one without the GPU side of it. Rumor has it AM3+ is going by the wayside and Fm2+ will be the flagship socket until its death.
