1 out of 5 eggsStay away from this one!!!

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Stopped working in just a couple of months of very mild use

Other Thoughts: I never write reviews, but with this one, I felt it as a moral obligation to say something. Despite all the warning and bad reviews I decided to give it a try. The drive worked fine for a couple of months. I had it plugged into a Pogoplug box. One day I just couldn't write to it anymore. Thank goodness I was able to read from it and retrieve all my data. It was still under the manufacturer's warranty so I contacted them. They told me they would gladly replace the unit if I sent it to them all the way to China!!! No way I will put more money into this drive. This review if for the flash drive, not for Newegg; I think Newegg is awesome. I will keep buying from them, but I will stay away from the Team brand.

1 out of 5 eggsOnly Flash Drive I had that Failed

Pros: Large capacity

Cons: Stopped functioning after only 2 months
This flash drive seems to have a high failure rate

Other Thoughts: I bought this last year, but it completely stopped working after only 2 months. I have bought many flash drives over the years and this is the first USB flash drive that has ever failed on me. It wasn't worth the hassle of returning this defective unit. Reading the reviews now, I see that many have also experienced this particular flash drive dying on them.

1 out of 5 eggsTwo of five were DOA

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Not reliable, Not very good quality control

Other Thoughts: Ordered five, two of the keys were dead out of the package. That is 20% failure rate out of the box. Not very good quality control

1 out of 5 eggsSLOWEST, most problem ridden drive I've seen

Pros: can scramble your data so no one, not even you can read it.

A good "trap" if left on an enemy's desk or mail box.

Cons: Worked well for about 15 minutes as I used it to transfer sensitive data from an old PC to new. Speed was okay, about 8 Mb/sec.
Then the troubles began.

It dismounted mid-copy, and when reinserted, Windows flagged it as a problem and asked to check it for errors, which when I clicked OK it could never complete.

Drive read/write turned to 3 kilobytes per second IF it could stay mounted for more than 3 minutes. The same on my laptop and other computers.

I knew I'd RMA it, but it took days to over-write my data since there is no telling what might happen once I sent it back.
It was a real mistake not to test it before copying anything of value.

Other Thoughts: I'm sure testing is hard, but considering the grief I had to go through, I'm very unhappy off that right out of the package, it failed so terribly.

** Quality control makes or breaks customers and sales and loyalty.**
If this worked, I might have bought several as it would have been a good deal.

I'll stick with name brands and well reviewed products in the future.

---> I noted that each time I re-inserted it, all the files and folders are renamed to junk/ASCII characters, and according to the "Properties" menu, the drive contained anywhere from 55 GB to 1.78 TB of data ... do ya think it might be having trouble?
STAY AWAY!

5 out of 5 eggsStill an excellent drive

Pros: Second review of this drive, I bought 3 so I feel I get more than one review.

Still an excellent flash drive, I routinely use it to transfer files from my computers to my xbox. It has been completely written to and deleted at least once a week for several months. No issues at all. 2 of the 3 are still working great, one is not because I lost it. It's probably still in great shape back in the wild. The color has grown on my and seems to be a theft deterrent. I'll take a bunch of weird brown flash drives that are this fast.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This has been my go to drive for months, and has been used vigorously for media, read/write/erase constantly, and has been booting Kali linux to rescue many systems. Normally I buy name brand drives for the quality control I assume they have, but I'm glad I took a small chance when these drives were so cheap. I'm a Team color turn fan now.

Unrelated, I just bought a pair of USB 3.0 - 128GB flash drives from PNY today for <$40 each. We'll see how that risk pays off shortly.
