I wonder if this product fits a Lenovo IdeaPad N580?

When I question what type of memory to use. I look at crucial.c0m and use their memory finder. It gives the most accurate report as well as details about how many sticks can be used, max memory, etc...

This memory is listed as 1.65V, yet the first line in the Overview says it operates on 1.5V. Which is it? Is it safe to use on a 1.5V memory controller?

YES, it is . I bought this Team Elite 8GB ( 2 x 4GB ) and they work perfectly fine. However, the case packing of these memory look cheap.....if you wanted they look great, buy the CORSAIR Memory brand but it is more expensive !

Usually, unless it specifically states that it is buffered/registered, then it would be unbuffered.

Is this non-ecc memory?

Yes if it says "Desktop Memory" then it's not ecc. Ecc is for servers. Even servers can take non ecc memory.
