5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast, and low cost. In my rig it is serving as a Boot drive due to its size. Goes from Off to Start screen in an average of 12 seconds.

It was definitely worth the buy for me, but I did just get it, we will see how it does over time.

Cons: Not necessarily a con, but its only downside so far is that it is only 60 gigs. I tried to make a smaller partition for other programs, but it wasn't big enough to hold the OS and a Game, Just something to note. If you don't want any load screens, Get a second one, or a much bigger one, or both.

Other Thoughts: I paid $40 I think for it during the Pre-black Friday sales. For $80 though you can get a bigger drive for the same cost, so that is what I suggest you do.

4 out of 5 eggsGood cheap alternative.

Pros: The price! The read speeds are decent and at the time of purchase was on sale making it cheapest ssd solution.
Packaging looks nice. Besides write issue listed below no major issues.

Cons: Same issue as other reviewer. Read speeds are on par with posted specs of other review and same issue with writes. around 120mb/s Checked all settings and performed multiple benchmarks. Using AS SSD, CrystalDiskMark, And Hd Tune All report around the same speeds. 450mb/s seq read and 120mb/s write. The only benchmark that reported the listed speeds was Atto. The plastic its made out of feels almost flimsy. Not at all solid feeling like my OCZ Agility 3. Was so light in fact felt like a hollow plastic case. Had drive just over a month and besides the write issue drive works fine.

Other Thoughts: Glad it came with a decent warranty.
Tested On two systems with same result.

Fx-8320
Asus 990Fx Sabretooth
8 Gigs 2133

Surprising considering my OCZ drive gets close to listed writes in other benchmarks not just atto. Not sure what the issue is here but works ok for me as the reason i purchased was for a snappy OS drive. And 120mb/s writes arent stopping that. I use a dual raptor raid 0 for my games. which sports 280mb/s reads and 250mb/s for writes. If writes are important to you. Spend the extra money for a kingston, corsair, or ocz drive.

3 out of 5 eggsMediocre - Not impressed

Pros: This SSD has a fairly low Price and has good performance in Reads/mb

I wouldn't recommend this SSD to a friend, though.

Cons: Although the reads are good the writes are slow.

I gave this SSD several bench tests using CrystalDiskMark, Anvil Storage Utilities RC6, and a bunch of others. I don't use benchmark utilities for testing which produce results favorable to their products controller or firmware, I use what everyone else uses out there.

First came the test on a desktop pc (socket 2011) with an pci-e x1 add-on card (Marvel controller) and the results were horrible with approx. 250 read. A bit better on a pci-e x2 Syba SD-PEX40054 card getting close to 350. On the native intel 6gb/s port it was similar as on my Server with the LSI with arround 450 reads. Writes were arround 120-130 on all cards and platforms.

Testbed: Intel 5600 Server with two Xeons.
Read/Write Results connected to a LSI 9260-8i controller (no cache or fastpath enabled) are:

CrystalDiskMark
Seq: 464.5/126.4
512K: 354.4/126.7
4k: 17.61/82.45
4K QD32: 140.9/125.7

Other Thoughts: It's just another one of the many SSD's available which reel you in with a low price but don't measure up to their advertised specs.

Thought I give it another shot with this drive as I have sent the Kingston SSDNow V300 Series SV300S37A/120G back to Newegg as it performed slower then my hard drive. I'll keep it to avoid the hassle of doing another RMA although Newegg was great in accepting my previous return and that's the reason why I buy from them. They stay behind you in case you need support.
