4 out of 5 eggsVery nice, support could be better

Pros: The first think you will notice about the IronKey 8 GIG D200 is that it is heavier than other flash drives. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. The 2 key ring holes are drilled through the corners of the heavy duty case and look like they will NEVER fail like my old SanDisk Cruzer did. The holes are large enough for the detachable key ring device I have (also called a valet key ring).
I REALLY like the self destruct concept (after 10 invald master password tries) after loosing my keys at the theater with my old flash drive attached. I got them back but the entire time I worried about someone running a password cracker on it to get to my password repository.

Cons: An attachable cap would be good.
Email support could be better. The Ironkey worked on my desktop computer and my wife's laptop but not my laptop. It would not read the secure folder.

Other Thoughts: I booted my laptop in Safe mode and the IronKey worked fine. That told me that it was some kind of software blocking my IronKey.
My niece came to the rescue with the Microsoft Knowledge Base article #929135 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135). That lead gave me the debug process using "MSConfig" that I needed to solve my issue.
First I worked my way through disabling all the non-Microsoft services then through all the Startups by Manufacturer. The whole process took a couple of hours.
The culprit was "Umonit.exe" which is a USB port monitor of some kind. I have no idea what installed it. I'd used other flash drives with encryption before with no problem. Just not an IronKey.
The "UMonit" program is not listed in my Start/Startup folder but if I disable it in MSconfig my IronKey works just fine on my laptop.
