5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine.

Pros: Four of these, 2 per channel, work perfectly in my Supermicro C226 LGA1150 system with a Xeon E3.

Booted right up with properly detected DDR3-1600 speed. I did not have to set up, configure, or adjust anything. It worked on first boot.

If you're running a server that is memory-intensive, the premium for DDR3-1600 vs DDR3-1333 is well worth it.

Cons: Not always in stock and in deep supply. Took a couple of days watching before I could order all 4.

DDR3-1600 ECC UnREG is not as common as lower speeds, especially in 8GB modules. There is a small price premium. If your app is I/O or CPU-bound, DDR3-1600 may be a waste.

Other Thoughts: Passed 7 days of nonstop Memtest with 0 errors or ECC warnings.

I was a little leery of buying server RAM from a manufacturer I hadn't used before, so I tested way longer than a usual build. All ok.

In 24x7 service for 6 weeks now, always under full capacity usage for query/db/file caching. Flawless so far.

My config:
Supermicro MBD-X10SLH-F-O
Intel Xeon E3 1220 V3
