5 out of 5 eggseasy stuff to use

Pros: these modules worked as soon as I installed them. sturdy construction no frills. heatsinks are well attached to modules. I installed one 2x4 kit booted to bios and loaded the amp profile and bang no problem jumping directly to 2400mhz. for poops n smiles...heehe...I decided to try to manually set it to 2400mhz...again no problem getting it to 2400nhz. so I bought another 2x4 gig it on sale at $80 can't recommend it strongly enuff it was installed in a Crosshair v formula-z MB running a 6350fx running great temps seem ok it oc'd to 2485mhz and is stable.

Cons: cons?...can't find one but 8 gigs been installed one month and the other 8 gigs just went in yesterday. if there are any problems i'll get back to you, don't anticipate any worries though

5 out of 5 eggsJean-Luc approves, but does your grandma?

Pros: -Plugs in and POSTs immediately.
-Pairs perfectly with my Kaveri A10 7850K
-Makes games go VROOM VROOM.
-Sleek/rugged non-trashy heat spreader design.
-Doesn't look like it was cut off the side of a 90's Nike shoe.
-Doesn't look like it belongs in an episode of The Power Rangers.
-Doesn't look like a Great Value Brand Flux Capacitor from the year 2050.
-Doesn't look like someone's grandmother designed it for their Sci-Fi themed birthday.
-Doesn't look like Megatron's sideburns.
-Doesn't look like it was purchased from a K-mart gumball machine.

Cons: -Doesn't have a sound module that talks back when your plans are foiled like KITT from Knight Rider.
-It would be cool if they mistakenly gave me 2x8GB sticks instead...... bummer.
-Why don't you visit your grandmother anymore? The last time you saw her she made that cute little futuristic RAM stick Birthday cake for you.

Other Thoughts: It's RAM, It Works, It runs smooth, It runs fast. Call your grandmother sometime, you know she misses you.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great so far

Pros: Low profile ram, feels very solid. As soon as I got it I installed it and loaded the XMP profile and ran it at 2400.

I have an AMD A10-6800K, with this ram I got great results. Coming from a hyperx 4GB DDR3-1600 the improvements are enormous. An average of 40fps gained on most games.

If you have a bulky aftermarket air cooler, this ram would probably still fit under it.

Cons: None so far, only had it for a day so hopefully it doesn't fail on me.

3 out of 5 eggsMixed feelings

Pros: - Relatively inexpensive for low profile DDR3 2400mhz.
- Fits under large CPU heatsinks.
- Has both XMP and AMP profiles.
- Mostly black so it fits with many builds.

Cons: - The top edge AMD Radeon logo is glow in the dark. Cheezy.
- I bought two kits, the second one had both modules DOA.

Other Thoughts: I bought a kit of this to accompany an AMD 7850k APU, as they like the fastest memory they can get. Eventually the kit was moved over to my main rig which has a 4690k. Since I had two spare slots, I decided to make the upgrade to 16GB and ordered an identical kit, immediately upon installing it I was having lockups and blue screens. After testing each stick individually with memtest86+ 5.01 I found BOTH modules from my new kit were bad at the rated speeds and they failed all the way down to 1600mhz. I know bad parts happen, but I can count on one hand the number of new memory modules I've had fail since the early 90's with SIMM modules. To have not one but both sticks from a new kit failing at the same time is crazy. Newegg replaced them fast and the new kit works great, but still. It gets -2 eggs for that.

5 out of 5 eggsIts a 290X with 8GB

Pros: - Its a 290X..... with 8GB. Not much more to it than that.
- Very nice heatsink, mostly quiet if the fan speeds stay low.
- Looks amazing, very high quality feel to it.
- No coil whine.

Cons: - A little expensive compared to regular 290X for the extra 4GB.
- XFX LED lighting is very, very bright.

Other Thoughts: Previously was running a green card that had 6GB. I got this card for specific games that need a lot of Vram since I didn't want to step down to a 4GB card, although I can't really recommend it for most average 1080p gaming needs. However, I got exactly what I was looking for, the performance is good as would be expected from a custom cooled 290X. I also enjoy the fact that XFX has representatives on several of the PC forums I'm on so if I need help I can always send them a message.

3 out of 5 eggsgood looking, solid build.

Pros: looked great in my case, appeared to be well built.

Cons: one stick was bad.

Other Thoughts: my msi a88x-g45 gaming mobo booted and ran but only counted 4gb total ram. right away thought, "one bad stick".
I removed the first one and the pc would not boot. when I replaced the bad stick with the other I had just removed, it ran fine. no worries -- newegg paid for return shipping and gave very quick, full refund.
I would have asked for a replacement but I decided to use my Samsung low-profile, 1.35v wonder ram. I set the timings at 10 10 10 27, the speed at 2133 on 1.5v.
if I didn't already own this special ram from Samsung I would be using this 2400mhz ram. still might try it in the future.

5 out of 5 eggsR9 Gamer Series

Pros: cheap for price now that it has lowered.
Good looking
Low Profile
2400 MGHTZ.
XMP Profile for INTEL
AMP Profile for AMD

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: I had 2 x 4 gig sticks in my Gigabyte GamerG1 board. I had reviewed these awhile back under a eggxpert review.
Well I can run faster ram in this board but since I had 2 x 4 gig sticks already in it I decided to pick up another kit and add it to it for a total of 16 Gigs of ram.
Normally when I use all for slots I make sure to buy a 4 stick kit because I have had problems with other brands if I buy 2 exact kits but 6 months apart and they hardly ever run good together unless it is a lower speed like running these at 2133 or 1866. I was surprised when I added this other kit and started it up and it ran and 4 sticks right off the bat with no tweaking other than what I had for the other set. I have played a few games and surfed a lot and no problems what ever. It actually feels more responsive and starts a few seconds faster. ( Or it seems like it at least. )

I like that using 2 different batches hasn't hurt me at all so I would still recommend this ram, more so now that the price has dropped 50 bux
