5 out of 5 eggsWorks great! Even SDHC.

Pros: Works great - I have 2 of these now.

Both work perfectly - the newest one (bought August 2008) reads SDHC cards (even Class 6) fine, too.

Cons: The older one (2007) doesn't support SDHC. They must have upgraded the firmware since then, since the new one does.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper Talent All In One Card Reader

Pros: For the extremely low price, this reader is great. I have tried it with CF and standard size SD (also Micro SD cards with adapter). It has read all of them with out any problems.

I don't understand why so many people are complaining about this reader, for the price paid what do you expect.

Cons: Uh, it wasn't free

Other Thoughts: I may get a few more of these to use as party favors.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat deal for the price

Pros: Extremely cheap, small/lightweight, reads many card types, USB 2.0 means fast transfer speeds...
Been using it for a few months now with both CF and XD cards and absolutely no problems so far.

Cons: cheap feeling plastic case, XD & compact flash cards are a tight fit. Just be careful to line the card up properly and don't shove it right in

Other Thoughts: To the people saying XD cards won't work - it may be possible that the reader has problems reading certain brands of XD cards, but they definitely DO fit. They go in one side of the Smartmedia slot. If you look at the slot, it has a different set of pins specifically for XD.

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't Work at All

Pros: None

Cons: This card reader is a piece of junk. It didn't work with any of my flash cards and was a nightmare to even set up. Other USB card readers that I've used in the past are easy to set up and are instantly detected/recognized as soon as they are plugged in. Not this one. Terrible......

Not even worth the retun shipping to get a replacement. It went straight into the trash. Nada. Zip!

3 out of 5 eggsDoes not read micro sd

Pros: Nice compact reads other cards i have

Cons: i bought it to read micro sd cards alone. Well i dont have one of the mirco sd card adapters that you can put your micro sd card in, and then you can put it in a sd card slot. This reader wont read micro sd cards alone.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: None

Cons: DOA. Figured I would take my chances, after reading the other reviews here. Never worked from day 1. I tried inserting the card before plugging it into the computer, and it was still a no go. Spend just a little more and get something that works. Not even worth shipping/my time to RMA it.

4 out of 5 eggsCF in eeepc works

Pros: I bought it to read Compact Flash cards from my camera in my eeepc for viewing and backup while traveling. It does that, but see comment below.

And it's dirt cheap - assuming you buy some other stuff so the shipping doesn't kill you.

Cons: Surprised it came with a mini-usb cable, rather than a built in usb plug. Wish the description was clear about that. It's one more thing to carry and loose.

Other Thoughts: WARNING - in my eeepc (Linux) you must put the card into the adapter and then plug the adapter into the computer for it to be recognized. The other order does not work.

Others have reported this device not working at all - wonder if they did things in the right order?

4 out of 5 eggsDVDA

Pros: So many holes!
Works exactly as it should, and is very inexpensive. Hasn't broken in >1 year light usage.

Cons: A more expensive product would have separate openings for each card type, and maybe even silkscreened labels for them too. As it is, you have to gaze in to it a bit to figure out position/orientation of each connector. The smaller card openings are worse, the CF (large) connector is the easiest.

Other Thoughts: Creates about 7 "removable drives" when plugged in. Takes all the listed hard types as far as I can tell (I've tried CF, SmartMedia, SD). Speed is fine...not a problem, but not necessarily faster than using my USB 2.0 camera to upload images.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Works great. I have tried this with a couple SD cards and a couple XD cards. Seems to work great. No troubles with this at all yet. No Drivers needed in Windows 2000 or XP that I have tried on.

Cons: Non yet

Other Thoughts: For the price, you can't ask for much more.
