Best Upgrade for EE900, Feels like a different Netbook
- Pros: Improved start up speeds particularly if you have any type of antivirus. Installing applications and games is faster. Downloading anything is quicker. Video and many websites such as Google Maps have little to no lag compared to the stock 16gb SSD. Everything pretty much runs 5-10x faster than before and the Asus EE 900 16gb feels like a different netbook.
- Cons: Some people may have to purchase a external usb dvd-rom drive to reinstall their Windows or Linux Operating System. You can also use a USB memory stick if you format it properly and copy the OS setup files to it.
- Other Thoughts: Best hardware upgrade you can do on your Asus EE900 Netbook. I was having issues with laggy videos and long load times for websites such as Google Maps, Facebook, Myspace, Youtube, and some others. Upgrading the SSD Hard Drive was the solution I needed. I upgraded the memory to 2gb first and there wasn't much of a improvement, but installing this new SSD made my system start up in seconds with very few hick ups even with antivirus running on start up. Lag is severely reduced and rarely ever noticeable unless you are trying to multitask between multiple programs or websites. You can't go wrong with this upgrade if you have the know how to get your Operating System reinstalled.

this device will not fit just any old pc you may have a pc with an empty mini pcie express slot dont mean it will work like a regular pci slot this is KEYED. see supertalents web page to see what and how it is to be used or installed.
- Other Thoughts: for the pimps of the trade that dont know what they are doing or buying dont degrade the product based on your lack of knowledge. i do my homework havent had a problem yet. newegg only sells this item they dont know your configuration. thats is your job to know what you have so you KNOW what to buy. the think pad guy umm mostly likely its a slot for a wifi add on.
