Pros: The customer service of Axiom was great. Ultimately we ended up using a pair of 1GB modules, and they work great.

Cons: We bought this for a Dell XPS 400. It did not work. Axiom exchanged it for us and the second one also did not work. I did some research and found evidence that Dell had changed motherboards for the XPS 400 at some point. Their original documentation on Dell's site said that the XPS 400 could handle up to 4 2GB modules for 8GB max. The current documentation says that the XPS 400 can only handle 4 1GB modules for a max of 4GB. Evidently we have one of the later boards.

That said, if you have this problem, Axiom's customer service is very good, and they will work with you to find a solution.

Other Thoughts: Axiom did not respond to my first email. A week later, I emailed again and they responded immediately. They said they had no record of the original email.

After responding to my second email, their representative was extremely responsive and helpful. They are true to their claim that they will provide cross shipping service for defective memory, and they even provided return shipping labels.

They sent a new module, which arrived the same day I sent the first one back. The second 2GB module did not work either (probably due to limitations of the mother board). I emailed their rep and suggested that a pair of 1GB modules might work, since it appeared that the 2GB modules would not work with our XPS 400. He sent the pair of 1GB modules, and again, they arrived the same day I sent the 2GB one back. These modules work well.

If you have a Dell XPS 400, you might want to think twice before trying to put a 2GB module in it, but if you buy from Axiom, their customer service is g
