Pros: Inexpensive, small physical size considering nice memory size

Cons: Pre-installed software is junk. It isn't working as a bootable device for me. I've tried windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.10 and neither works.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy it if you need to boot from it. Otherwise the junk software is easily removed and its a decent price for the capacity.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Awesome Design, and extremely small size. I love the little smiley face on the back that wakes up when you push the usb part out. :D

Cons: The included Castella Software sucks.. alot. But it is easily removed.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat... while it works

Pros: Very compact drive, nice price, very sleek looking.

Cons: Comes with TERRIBLE pre-installed software (you can remove it, but you have to use the software to do it...)

I've owned this device for about 2 months, and it was working fine until this morning it stopped working out of the blue. It suffered no damage or anything out of the usual, but it just stopped working.

Other Thoughts: I thought I'd give IOCELL a try, and I'm glad i did it with something that only cost me $10 before trying it with something more expensive. I won't buy again.

Also, I am not interested in a "We are deeply sorry" response from their customer service rep that scours Newegg for bad reviews. If you want a better review, offer a free replacement, or make a longer lasting product.

4 out of 5 eggsNo problem

Pros: It's tiny and of decent design and build quality.

Cons: So far I haven't found a way to ditch the installed software/partition- I thought I'd give the software a try, but it's really not that useful to me. I take away one egg for not making it easy to reformat. It's really no big deal though.

Each time you first plug it in, it lauches its software- just close it- now its gone... in My Computer you'll see two drives- one labeled "Autorun" and one labeled "Castella"- ignore the "Autorun" drive and open "Castella" VIOLA! You have a drive in which you can create folders, drag and drop folders and files- no sweat.

Other Thoughts: This thing isn't really all that complicated. I'm just an end-user who knows computer basics and it's fine. The product description so much as tells you that you're going to run into software here.. so if that's an issue for you- DON'T BUY IT!
But don't trash a product because it does what the maker says it will do...

2 out of 5 eggsComes with extra (not very useful) software installed

Pros: -Excellent form factor, darn small, very clean style, and well built. LOVE the look of this little guy.
-Comes with a DECENT, yet not awesome attachment strap (uses a little threaded barrel to separate, kind of hard to unscrew/screw if you have big hands)
-Good amount of size for the money

Cons: -Comes with a bunch of extra software nonsense installed.
-When you plug it in a CD drive AND the actual thumb drive shows up. Who designed this? Anytime its plugged in there is a stupid CD drive that runs a dumb little pseudo OS Desktop that allows you to install the security or backup software. Absolutely useless, and now every time I plug it in I have to look at another Cd drive.

Other Thoughts: I generally really like form factor, layout, size, and price of this unit. I just REALLY hate the dumb extras they included, like the automatic CD-rom that shows up and all the extra software thats taking up space on the actual flash portion. How about just a basic 4GB flash drive with none of that extra junk installed.

I happen to be an IT guy, but if you gave one of these to my mom she would be so confused as to why she now has 2 CD-rom drives and what all that stuff on the 4gb partition was.
