Pros: A lot of media IO options in the space of a floppy bay. Uses a full 3.5" floppy case instead of just a 2 screw cheap bezel. SDHC a plus.

Cons: IO Performance for memory cards is horrible. I hooked up the USB ports built into my computer case to the MB header to check that this was not a MB USB problem, and everything worked as expected. However, this unit connected to same header has many problems;

1) USB port does not recognize all thumb drives
2) USB port cannot power a 2.5 HD w/o external PS
3) Class 6 SDHC card maxes out around 4 Mb/s on a large file compared to 12 Mb/s using MB USB ports

Other Thoughts: Received a write protection error when using the floppy drive. The disk was spinning and I thought the disk was bad, and when it happened with another I assumed the unit was failing. The problem was the disk was not seating 100%. Pushing in the disk until it clicks was not good enough to seat it, but pulling on the eject button slightly was all that was needed to cure the problem.

Not pretty but works

Pros: Great all in 1 unit!! very easy to install

Cons: Screw holes are in the wrong place, making it impossible to get it lined up corrrectly in my case. Sits too far in. I had to drill new holes in my case to get it in right.

Other Thoughts: Be really careful if you install this on a PC you're just building. I didn't pay attention, but the extra readers too up drive letters a-g! My first hard drive is letter H!! Better to build the hard drives first, then install this after you install your OS.

Pros: A good combo having everything in one device, floppy plus multi-card reader.
