1 out of 5 eggsAnnoying

Pros: Neat design, the covers are a help. Reads full-size SD cards flawlessly.

Cons: Doesn't write through SD-MicroSD adapters reliably.

Other Thoughts: I ordered a 32GB microSD for my phone and thought I'd convert my old 16GB to a thumb drive. Windows picks up and reads from it just fine, but try to write a 150+MB file to it and the drive will disappear mid-transfer. Close all the errors and the transfer interface and it'll immediately reconnect and show back up in Explorer. Seems to work flawlessly with full-size SD cards but it isn't reliable across either of my microSD adapters.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little device!

Pros: - Small and simple to use.
- Can put/use almost any side SD card in device *see other*
- SD card can be a SD or SDHC card
- Put a SD card in unit, plug into any USB port and it use like it is a regular USB flash drive!

Cons: - If you want to use a Micro-SD card in the unit, you need to use/have a Micro-SD-to-SD card adapter (don't come with)
*I already had one, so this isn't really a con for me*
- Nothing that I can think of

Other Thoughts: - If you don't have a SD card reader in your PC/laptop, or if it gives problems (main reason I got this) this is the best thing to get/use.
- I've only tested up to a 8GB SDHC card, works perfectly.
- I've only tested this in Windows XP [SP3] (32-bit) and Windows 7 (64-bit), I didn't have to DL/install any hot patches to get this to work right away *if knew here my 64GB SD card was, I’d test with that also*
- Oddly Mine didn't come with a free 64GB memory card, like other review said, but I didn’t get it for the free card anyway, so I don’t mind.
- All my digital devices only use SD cards, so this is perfect for me

5 out of 5 eggsA BIT SLOW

Pros: Simple, compact, & easy to use.
Works with the newer SDXC UHS-1 memory card (XP users see Cons).
Came free with a 64GB memory card.

Cons: Transferring 64 GB of data with USB2 is going to take a while longer than if it had USB3 capability.
If you have XP you will probably need MS update KB955704. Install this update to add support for the exFAT file system format used with these newer & larger capacity memory cards.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't have spent $7.99 for a USB2 reader when dealing with probable 64GB data transfers. I'm spoiled by USB3 transfer speeds.
They could have added a line to their package warning XP or Media Player 2003 users about the need for the KB955704 update for cards using the exFat system.
