5 out of 5 eggsIt's a Floppy Drive OK?

Pros: I had to have a Floppy drive to install my RAID drives at the beginning of loading my OS WinXP on a PC-DL system.
It performs like a floppy drive should and is not as noisy as most. Sure it gives the usual Grip-Zang when booting up to test the drive, but what doo you expect from and Old-School PC-DL and a Floppy Drive.
Still my Dual Xeon's at 3.2 gig are still faster than many new Dual and Quad core CPU's on boot up and i can still run 7 intensive programs with Zero glitches.

Can't say that about many newer MoBo's.

Need a Floppy get this one she works good on Old-School systems

Cons: None really - it is a Floppy drive and the Front door did not fall off - So what the Hey.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: What did I expect for 10 bucks?......... maybe a drive that worked. It did come in the color ordered.

Cons: DOA

Other Thoughts: DOA from the Egg. For ten bucks not worth the time or effort to return. Really needed it at the time ordered. Still sucks though. Cannibalized a drive from old computer. One would think a simple test to see if they work may be done but I'm sure the volumes are too high to do this. Won't buy another on line.

1 out of 5 eggsOld USED Floppy drives sold as new!

Pros: Work as fancy paperweights.

Cons: Used, rusted, and dirty. Competly non-functional. I ordered three of these for work and was appaled at what I recieved. The manufacturer ripped out the guts of random old, used drives and stuck them in newer cases. Never even cleaned out the dust/hairs/blegh inside them.
The first drive I installed spit out a hairball with the disk and never worked. I inspected the other two drives and realized what happened.
COMPLETE WASTE!

Other Thoughts: WTH Newegg? After years of purchasing quality products, you start selling used junk as new?
RMA for Full Refund.

1 out of 5 eggsOld Junk

Pros: None

Cons: This thing was an old floppy drive taken out of a used PC. It broke the first time I tried to use it. I opened it up and found it full of dust and dirt. Avoid this at all costs Not even worth 8 bucks.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Mounted easy, Windows 7 recognized it instantly, works.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: This is an OEM part. If you want one that has cables, software, mounting screws, etc.. buy a retail unit. Don't buy this one then gripe because you do not have what it takes to mount it. No OEM part comes with extras.
