Pros: Super easy just plug it in turn it on and the computer recogignized it right away no problems. Very fast in transfering data back and forth.

Other Thoughts: *My cat knocked it onto the floor from just 2 1/2 feet quite fragile. I will be getting another one though due to it's excellent quality but this time will be wrapping it with bubble wrap

Pros: I have had it about a week and I love it. Plugged it in and it was immediately recognized by XP. I moved it to my computer that runs Linux(ubuntu 9.04) and it mounted just fine. I use it as media backup and for my HTPC using linux.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: I was afraid that a USB HDD would be slow but I am surprised and happy with this one.

Pros: -298 GB of space (formatted in NTFS)
-Seeing an average read speed of 38.0 MB/sec
-Average write speed of 37.0 MB/sec
-7200 rpm drive speed

Cons: -Gets warm after prolonged use, but not hot.

Other Thoughts: -Has on/off switch, takes about 5 seconds from turning on to Windows displaying the drive in My Computer

Very satisfied with this after my Maxtor OneTouch Mini 320 GB drive failed.

Cons: Stopped working after about 2 weeks.

Other Thoughts: Newegg issued me an RMA, but since I had all my financial data on it with no way to erase it I decided not to use the RMA.

Pros: Seemed to work ok while it was working. The connection speed was pretty decent.

Cons: Broke within a week. It's hot when on for more than a few minutes.

Other Thoughts: I've only had this drive for a week. I had it on for an hour tonight and then heard a buzzing noise. By the time I realized it was the drive it had stopped operating. It still turns on but won't turn on all the way. Now I have to go through the manufacturer to get this fixed - if it can be fixed.

Pros: Backs up my documents, music, and video at the speed USB 2.0 will let you. Does the job well.

Cons: None

Pros: Dunno yet.

Cons: No blue light as described in other reviews.

Runs hot, started flaking out after being on for about an hour. Good thing I decided to test it by transferring some files with it before using it as a backup device for Acronis.

Other Thoughts: Will RMA and try another, everyone else seems to like them.

Pros: Good capacity, great price, pretty good speed for an external

Cons: Heavy and bulky, requires a separate power connector, preformatted to NTFS

Other Thoughts: The preformat thing was more of a hassle than an actual problem. Not everyone uses Windows, and I need to use this drive on a variety of computers. Overall, a very good deal for some extra storage space, but probably not the best drive to lug around with you.
