5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: Great build quality, quiet, and many features. QNAP Forums are a great resource.

Cons: Somewhat pricey, but worth it if you want the features.

Sidenote: When one is building a NAS, one typically wants to go big with their drive capacity. Unfortunately it is tough to find reliable 1.5TB drives currently (not a problem with the device). I've gone through many Seagate ST31500341AS 1.5's and have had SMART errors on 8 of 12 which passed through my hands. Mostly reallocated sector errors. That is just rediculous and is a pain to deal with. If you choose to RMA you will have some nice "certified repaired" drives instead of "new" ones like you paid for.

Other Thoughts: Had some human error induced issues with my unit and QNAP support was quick to respond. Had a little trouble communicating with them but in the end they took good care of me.
