Pros: J'aime bien la facilité d'installation, le logiciel. Partages réseaux très facile.

Cons: Le microprocesseur est un peu plus lent que je pensais. Il ne suffit pas à la tache lorsque le NAS est connecté à une télévision pour regarder en direct. Fonctionne bien en mode DLNA.

Other Thoughts: Un peu cher.

Pros: This unit is a very nice NAS and has high transfer rates. QNAP is a solid company and stands behind its units. My unit came with 4GB of memory which for the standard user should be enough. Depending on how you want to use this NAS will determine on where you locate it. It has far more functionality than most users could probably use but it has the potential to satisfy most users needs.

Cons: This unit has had some bugs and issues that the QNAP support team is fairly quick to address but it still had some bugs. I would like to see better user control of the cooling fan via the GUI. I have to manually put the fan into medium speed to address the heat issues.

Other Thoughts: It you are planning to purchase this unit I would suggest upgrading your memory to 16 GB as I did as well as making sure you purchase high quality NAS drives.

Pros: -Dead simple setup including ability to enable cloud access
-Qnap's own, included (free) DDNS service
-Runs Plex like-a-boss so far
-Compared to my last NAS, CPU/RAM doesn't break a sweat
-Easy dual-LAN trunking
-Fast and powerful

Cons: -Plastic-only build; but seems solid at least
-A bit pricey, but powerful
-Photo Station interface a little clunky, I liked Synology's better

Other Thoughts: Setup was super easy and the cloud process was even able to auto-setup the port-forwarding on my Telus Actiontec router. Compared to an old Synology DS409 I was coming from this thing has POWER! Nothing seems to make this thing break a sweat so far. Started to play with the Plex Media Server, which they have available as a packaged app to install. So far no issues and works great using 4x4tb HGST Deskstar NAS drives. (I know they aren't on the compatibility list yet, but they should/will be and work great with no issues for me)
