Pros: Easy to setup and easier to maintain.
Allows to have multiple NAS connected to single UPS and one NAS to be a master .
Allows network network redundancy or close to 2 Gb/s throughput.

Cons: Win 10 file backups can reach 900+ Mb/s with Acronis.

5 out of 5 eggsMore powerful than it's predecessor.

Pros: Intel Celeron quad core processor. Can run Windows 7 and 8 on it. RAM can be upgraded up to 8GB. Can use XBMC on the NAS to play media through HDMI to the TV. Plenty of media servers.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I use the NAS mostly for streaming media and XBMC. Even though it has VM capabilities, it's still a NAS with a Celeron processor, so don't expect it to run Windows or other operating systems speedily. The NAS companies are moving away from the slower processors and really starting to beef these up. At least, some companies are. I love my QNAP TS-253 PRO. Newegg, as usual, shipped it quick!!
