4 out of 5 eggsJust Perfect!

Pros: A small, quiet little box that sits in the corner and is packed full of features. GigEthernet with Jumbo frames a print server, webserver, multimedia server and file server in one. It does exatly what I need it to do and has been simple to setup and maintain. Everything it does is very one click and your done and it doesn't take a lot of knowledge to use. I use Windows 7 and I haven't had any problems mapping drives to it or managing it through IE8. They also have a great forum with a lot of "How To" guides. I'm running the Webserver and Photostation and it's easy. I enabled the features and it created two shared folders Web and PhotoStation. I copy my webpages to the Web folder and my photos to the Photostation folder. Forward port 80 through my router to the NAS and it does the rest. Instant webpage.

Cons: The USB backup feature does not seem to be functioning and the Data Replication feature is a little wonky. I've found it easier to just create a share for backups and map a drive to it. Then I can manually copy to it when needed. When I took it out of the box it was rattling, two of the harddrive screws were loose in the case. It scared the heck out of me but was easily fixed and luckily they didn't do any damage other than take one "Star" off of the review.

Other Thoughts: I didn't want to go through the hassle of finding compatible harddrives so I went with pre-installed version. It cost a little more than if I had purchased the harddrives seperatley. However the drives were setup in RAID 1, partitioned and formatted right out of the box. This saved me hours of setup time. I was really sold on this NAS when I found a working demo on their website. You can connect into a NAS and check out all the features using the management interface. When I booted mine for the first time there were no surprises.
